Check your registry and let me know.

I used it all day yesterday and it is still working. If they caught it and charge me, I wont know until my next bill or two. If that happens, I will post on it. To me though, it sounded as if they couldnt get it to work at all. If that is the case, I am just stating that it can be done.

When adding an exchange profile in Activesync, you can now right-arrow past the "@" symbol in the email field, so you can use the hardware keyboard to set up the exchange profile without having to tap the screen to fill in that field.

One more thing they've fixed; this is huge for me. I can now finger scroll through a screen like the "Programs" screen without opening a program. On the prior stock ROM I would always end up opening whatever item my finger stopped on. Now that doesn't happen. It truly recognizes that a scroll is a scroll and at no point should it become a selection. Like I said, this is huge for me.

Sending files from my XP desktop to the TP over bluetooth seems easier. I just send the file and it receives on the phone, offering me the option to cancel. I think it used to require me to accept the file even though I had "always receive incoming beams" selected. I'm not 100% sure about this one, but I like how it's working.

The default Voice Command notification option is set to: "Announce notifications through device speaker or wired headset only". I suspect many of us probably set this to one of the other options, bluetooth only or bluetooth if available. Just in case anyone flashes this and wonders why they don't hear VC announcements through their headset anymore.

As others have noted, nice slide to answer addition, I like that touch from the newer ROMs.

This one I'll have to update as I go along, because it might just be because I've been playing around with it and reinstalling things, but after maybe 1 1/2 hours I'm down to 80% battery on my 1800mah extended battery. Normally I'm 70% at the end of the day (9-10pm), but like I said, I've been using it almost non-stop for the last 90 minutes so maybe it's not completely unexpected...

Bad news - TERRIBLE answer delay. You slide to answer and it waits several seconds before answering, and blares the answer tone in the caller's ear. I wonder if this relates to something I have installed. I did not test this when it was fresh flashed.

More bad news - as found a few pages after this - tethering is disabled. Kind of expected that...just be warned.
I looked out for the slide-to-answer delay bug when I got a call tonight. But it doesn't seem to be happening to me, so that leads me to think it may have to do with user mods/installations after the fact. I wonder how I got on without this feature for so long!

I had the answer delay once. The next call I got it didn't happen. So it appears to be random. I will try shaggylive's tweak if I decide to stay with this ROM.

Edit: my reg key is already set the way Shaggy's fix indicates, so that doesn't appear to be helping here. I'll see if the answer delay happens again.

Re: New sprint oem rom!!

Ha! i knew I was digging back thru my collection of reg hacks and updating with new ones and re-organizing for a reason, too bad I never finished.. lol

A. Active sync is NOT required to flash stock rom exe's. simply put the phone into bootloader manually. (vol-dwn + pwr + reset)

B. Teathering
is not broken if your legit. otherwise...there are services running that watch for changes like this and revert to the providers settings. I'm not sure if they are different from the original, but I imagine the tp cleanup would fix.

c: call answer delay - see here http://forum.ppcgeeks.com/showpost.p...5&postcount=88

now, off to flashland..

Re: New sprint oem rom!!

There is no legit tethering for Touch Pro owners with Everything plans. Tethering is not allowed as a paid add-on to your account. You simply can't do it (at least in my billing area, if that makes any difference).

Re: New sprint oem rom!!

Has anyone tried PdaNet? I haven't put it back on my TP1 after flashing the new ROM. If it won't work anymore, no point in me installing it...

Re: New sprint oem rom!!

Any way to enable tethering if going to new Sprint ROM?

If I flashed to new Sprint ROM then Mighty, could I enable tethering?
Thanks,

Thanks,
The ROMs are mutually exclusive. If you flash Sprint and then flash Mighty, you wasted your time flashing Sprint because every flash completely overwrites the previous ROM.

Re: New sprint oem rom!!

Another thing I can't get back is the screen dimming when I lock the phone using the "Long Press End" key feature. It's annoying because it was an easy way for me to tell when the phone was successfully locked. Is there a setting somewhere I'm missing?
