Thanks, I missed it somehow - well, I did the radio but not the PRI.

Just FYI, with the current radio and PRI, I'm finally getting decent speeds when USB tethered

That's with indagrooves 6.5 rom, but the radio and PRI from the sprint rom

Lemme try it via wifi sharing:

Those are pretty good numbers for me :D

Ha! i knew I was digging back thru my collection of reg hacks and updating with new ones and re-organizing for a reason, too bad I never finished.. lol

A. Active sync is NOT required to flash stock rom exe's. simply put the phone into bootloader manually. (vol-dwn + pwr + reset)

B. Teathering
is not broken if your legit. ;) otherwise...there are services running that watch for changes like this and revert to the providers settings. I'm not sure if they are different from the original, but I imagine the tp cleanup would fix.

c: call answer delay - see here http://forum.ppcgeeks.com/showpost.p...5&postcount=88

now, off to flashland..

There is no legit tethering for Touch Pro owners with Everything plans. Tethering is not allowed as a paid add-on to your account. You simply can't do it (at least in my billing area, if that makes any difference).

Has anyone tried PdaNet? I haven't put it back on my TP1 after flashing the new ROM. If it won't work anymore, no point in me installing it...

I looked out for the slide-to-answer delay bug when I got a call tonight. But it doesn't seem to be happening to me, so that leads me to think it may have to do with user mods/installations after the fact. I wonder how I got on without this feature for so long!

I had the answer delay once. The next call I got it didn't happen. So it appears to be random. I will try shaggylive's tweak if I decide to stay with this ROM.

Edit: my reg key is already set the way Shaggy's fix indicates, so that doesn't appear to be helping here. I'll see if the answer delay happens again.

Sorry to say but based on the reps of those that commented so far, all seems to be NOOBS.

There's another thread on this out in the main forum. There is some valuable information to be had, but yes, at the moment it's a bit scattered. There's nothing wrong with being a newbie - everyone started at one time or another. Many of the experts have finalized their custom ROMs and have moved on to the TP2 at this point, but the TP is still a good platform with a working BT stack, so hopefully some good will come of all this.

The threads should probably be merged. On the one hand, I can see the reason for putting a thread in the upgrades section. On the other hand, since it's an official release ROM, I would categorize it as "general interest" and personally put it in the main TP area because one might reasonably expect TP's that ship from Sprint after this point in time to already contain this release (refurbs, probably). Particularly since it seems to disable the common tethering hack, which is something Sprint would probably like to clamp down on.

I am a 36yr old "noob" that has been here almost a year but rarely ever post. Just because people doesn't post doesn't mean they "clueless" either. :)

No offfense, based on comments thus far the noobs status is obvious. Out of all the post only 3 seem to be of relative importance.
