New sprint oem rom!!
 
There is a new Sprint Touch Pro oem rom at the HTC website. http://www.htc.com/us/supportdownloa...act=sd&cat=all

I called Sprint and found out that the next ROM will be WM 6.5. This was just a Maintenance Release, hence the MR.

Works for me, here is what it says:

If this had come in another month or two, I would have been hoping for an official WM6.5 ROM. Oh well, flashing back to stock is always nice if for no other reason than to appreciate a well built custom ROM.

Pretty much what you'd expect. Looks like just a maintenance release to update TF3D (still the Sprintified version @ v1.2.37129.1_1813.6) and push out Sprint's Nascar and NFL apps. Speed is generally good, but it's a stock 6.1 ROM fresh off a hard reset so that's not out of the ordinary.

I would think original, unless HTC is using yozgatg's version (highly unlikely). Nice find! I am pulling it down as well. Although moving from Manila 2.1 back to the original TF3D might be fairly painful, as will the yellow Sprint theme....

I just upgraded to the new Sprint Rom this is the first time I have tried any type of flashing of any kind. I've been seriously thinking about flashing to a custom rom, I do realize that I first need to unlock my phone before I do anything. My question is while I installed this rom during the tri-colored screen at the top of the screen I noticed that it said unlocked, does this mean my phone is already unlocked? This is a replacment phone and probably a refurb so is it possible that the previous already unlocked it. Thanks in advance for any help.

Is the NFL app still abysmally slow?

to answer your question, to flash an official rom your phone does not need to be unlocked. Even though when you were flashing it said unlocked, it isn't unlocked to flash custom roms. Now can you help with my question, is it the original tf3d or tf3d 2.1?

It's original - it says so on the HTC site. Manila 2.1 on VGA is only via XDA...

Does anyone know if you invalidate your warranty with Sprint or any support contracts if you flash to this new HTC Rom? Reason I ask is it says not to go back to the original which I would have to do to return it. I mean, I am a flash junkie and the phone is going to die of flash abuse before it wears out from use :-)

Another thought, does this affect the relock? Correct my thought process if I am wrong, wouldn't I have to revert to the old, relock, and then flash to this if I return it or just stick with the original?

Also PLEASE NOTE the first thing I am noticing is that the radio reverted to 1.12.34F which in my area is comperable to the 1.03.15F that came on the phone. It is Windows Mobile 6.1 Pro Still (of course) CE OS 5.2.21054.1.6.7. It seems really stable but I can't bear to peel my fingers from around the 6.5 UI. So far I don't see to many things that are different, visually I mean, except NFL Mobile Live and NASCAR and TF#D 1.2.37129.1_1813.6. It does seem to run smoother however I have no real load bearing processes running. The PRL is 60652, although I am not sure if that is something that the ROM is capable of changing. Well back to 6.5 for me. Hope this helped someone interested.

Check out the version of TF3D in my post. It is upgraded but not 2.1 I was writing this while you were posting so my post came in after yours. Hope this is what you needed.

Good point! Looks like Nascar and NFL mobile Live but I think they have already been ported. Maybe some other behind the scenes items but most everything looks the same.

I'm installing now. It has the 1.12.34F radio, nfl, and nascar installed in the ROM from what I can tell so far.

Gee, THAT didn't take too long to release. Geez HTC, the Mogul had a new ROM out not too long after it was released.

Yeah I don't get why they would release an update to 6.1 when they are suppose to be releasing 6.5 next month?

You do not have to flash to the original rom if this is the rom on your phone. What matters is that it is an official rom from HTC not a custom rom. The reason they say not to go back to the old is because there are sometimes issues and it can hurt the phone. To return your phone with this rom you would just have to relock it and nothing else.

I am interested in that as well. I can't believe someone at Sprint thought the current NFL mobile live for the TP is actually usable.

official flashes are easy. Just make sure you have an ActiveSync connection and follow instructions.
