Not to mention everything was moved around again - with WM5/6 I knew where to get to everything. Is this just another case of Microsoft reinventing the wheel for a product that already worked fine to keep up with the crapy iPhone? Or is it a feature of this ROM?

Ok, otherwise overall I'm really liking the ROM, great work!

So as far as no. 1) and 3) check this site out: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=553361, it may be what you're looking for. I've not tried it with the newer WM builds, so I'm not sure that it works on this ROM.

As far as 4) try the cab posted below. It make all the icons smaller and makes 4 columns in the start menu so there's less screens to scroll through. Again I've not yet tried it with this ROM, so I'm not 100% sure it will work. It's worth a shot though. I believe credit for this cab goes to Showaco. If that's wrong anyone, please correct me.

*EDIT* I just realized you weren't talking about the start menu, sorry. You might like that cab anyway though. Do a google search for "Manila 2.1 VGA program tab". The first link that pulls up should take you to an XDA site that might have something you're looking for. I'd post the cab or the link, but I'm at work.

As far as 2) you might be out of luck. I've not heard anything about anyone working on this. I think the majority of people like the new bottom taskbar, at least now that the "X" button actually closes programs.

Let me know if they work as I'll be flashing this ROM later today.

*Edit* I've posted the program cab I was talking about. It also changes the "all programs" screen to a 4 column layout fitting 12 programs on a screen. It's not exactly what you were looking for but it's definitely better that the long list that's standard.

Aight, so I just flashed 1.05 and I'm lovin' it! (I hate that when I say that now, I think of McDonalds) Anyway, I've not had any text issues whatsoever. No landscape issues either.

My two dislikes so far are that I'd like all the programs and settings to be on the 1st start menu page. Granted the programs I use a lot will be in my programs tab, but it seems like it's an extra step for nothing to get to some of the things you have in folders on the 1st start menu page. I'm sure this is easily accomplished, I've just not done it yet.

I also hate and have always hated the clear sliders. Again, I'm sure I can find a cab to do that for me.

Everything else is gravy! I've only been playing for about 10 min. and I'm loving the hell out of it. It's the best 23053 ROM I've flashed yet. Great work! I look forward to the next release!

I think I may just have to edit my signature...

Oh, in case anyone was curious, both of the cabs I posted earlier work with this ROM.

I also have my slider minimized when not in use, but I've never used it on a glass slider. Does it automatically turn the glass slider into the standard slider?

*Edit* It doesn't, just tested it out.

The notifications screen pops up for a second or two after a reboot. Anyone else notice this? Not a biggie, just curious if it was something I did.

lol i hard reset like 4 times because i thought it was buggin out..rom works tip top tho once the notification screens gone lol

Anyone notice the programs pictures taking a second or two to load up when you go in the "alll programs" menu?

It's also proving not as easy as I thought to find a way to remove the glass slider. Anyone have any thoughts?
