[ROM]*UPDATED 8/15* Sprint/VZW| 6.5 23016|Clean - 16M PP|raidzero baseline 2 FINAL

4 Attachment(s)
NOTE: development on this release has stopped, hence the "final". never fear though, baseline 3.0 is here: http://forum.ppcgeeks.com/showthread.php?t=81038
3.0 uses the visual kitchen, 23017 SYS, lots of under the hood changes.

Final Release bug fix release: fixes camera, adds livesearch.

Final release: fixes all issues, adds predictive text (old MS Style) goes back to tachi notification.

v2.6 available for VZW and Sprint! This version removes tachi dialer to replace with original black s2a phonecanvas (lighter). Same openvg video drivers, 23016 SYS, .net cf3.7 (NFS undercover works out of the box). 94MB NBH! very slim. 28% ram used on boot. Removes alert sounds, contains default windows stuff. will make a cab with all the alerts you could ever want later! I guarantee you have never seen your VZW TP play a divx/xvid movie quite like this! :)

v2.5 available! in this version I have replaced NFSFAN 0109 video drivers with the openVG driver package along with d3dm_ati. I have also trimmed down my OEM's ad made a few regedits. I really wanted to get my NBH below 100mb, and did :) I even focused a bit more on cosmetics and made a new splash screen. It is smooooooth!
Put coreplayer in raw framebuffer mode (with or without dithering/smooth zoom) and watch it fly or enjoy Qtv mode (with smooth zoom on!) at never less than 24fps (the maximum framerate the human eye can perceive). Also in this version I changed the style to a more basic one, you'll see. It makes better use of the limited screen real-estate in file manager, email inbox, etc. and is of course lighter so therefor... faster:drunken:

v2.4 available. this version has "optimized" (From NFSFAN's 0109 ROM - whether or not they make a difference could be debatable, I think there is an obvious improvement in smoothness of titanium, opera, start menu. coreplayer seems to be unaffected, but credit for the dll goes to NFS anyway) video drivers and replaces merdinh keyboard with fingerkeyboard minus t9.
v2.3 available (SPRINT & VZW)!! Removes telnet/vnc altogether. fixes wifi/bluetooth toggles. more polished. slimmed down SYS and went more minimalist with everything. Should translate into speed and stability!
v2.2 available! Fixes battery life issues, removes telnet/vnc/rdp from home screen and replaces with wifi/blutooth toggles. adds blue volume icon. moves day of week to not interfere with wifi on cclock.
v2.1 available! Reason for this release is clear storage shortcut and a few battery life tweaks from chaostheory!
v2.0 available! Main reason for this release is GPS fix..

I would like to present my first ROM, which is targeted at the business audience. You will find no fluff in this ROM. This ROM is made from the erice/calkulin/ssk/silence SYS files, SSK/Silence/Calkulin/erice/my own cstom OEMs. Aside from my mishmashing of their files, tweaks and customizations, the credit goes to them. All I have done is make a hybrid kitchen from their work and added my own OEMs, tweaks and subtle changes suitable for a business environment. 16 MB pagepool. I consider this ROM to be a great starting point for any customizations needing to be done. If you need MMS you can always install it, anything I have left out can be installed. The user is free to do whatever they choose. I have included my multifont script to change titanium fonts as well as my chameleon script to change titanium glow color, you can find them in the start menu. As for titanium icons/selection bars themselves, help yourself to: http://forum.ppcgeeks.com/showthread.php?t=74730

Please provide feedback. My goal was to make this as light, fast and stable as possible and provide a ROM that uses icontact.

](*,)Disclaimer:
I do this for fun and take no responsibility if this software drives you insane, bricks your phone, convinces you to sell your children, etc. You must have an unlocked device for this work. Use the hardspl from cmonex. The unlocker and all that stuff can be found in the stickies in the Touch pro forum. Always hard reset at least once (twice) after flashing a ROM! It will give much better chances of a smooth experience. (If you wanna go overboard and MAKE SURE you have no problems, follow this link) This ROM is for Sprint/VZW devices only! not sure if it will even boot on other carriers. Note: I have a VZW TP but it is inactive (ported my number to sprint) so I can only test on it so much but it should just work.

:headbang:Thanks:
chaostheory, scrosler, erice, dcd, calkulin, tsowen, showaco, rperiera, silence, dan-htc-touch, rstoyguy, heydjbobby74, anybody I forgot, and of course everyone on these forums. Without this forum... Well, I would not have gotten a Touch Pro, not to mention learned to do any of this! Oh and my wife for letting me take the time to make this!

Known Issues:
(Do not click cancel in any customization scripts!! will be fixed in future releases of these scripts. and a cab will be added)

:headbang:Download (Sprint) Rapidshare: http://rapidshare.com/files/26782198...l_-_sprint.rar
:headbang:Download (Sprint) Megaupload: http://www.megaupload.com/?d=71AHKEMU
:headbang:Download (VZW) Rapidshare: http://rapidshare.com/files/26842022...vzw_bugfix.rar
:headbang:Download (VZW) Megaupload: http://www.megaupload.com/?d=G76X3N3G

VZW Megaupload camera still broken, rapidshare is fixed.

Note: I am new at this. I have found no bugs but that does not mean they're not there. This may be too minimalist for some, but for those I encourage you to install what you need, in the end it should run more efficiently. :) Let me know what you think! Personally I think it rocks... but if I did not, would it be here?! :-D

I have attached the VPN client. same disclaimer as before, US govt controlled technology, don't export, must be in the US to download...

Some have also asked for RSS Hub, so I have made a cab from an OEM and attached.

cool! yes I consider icontact a necessity. you (or quite possibly anyone else - I included because I have not seen any rom's with stuff like that) may not like to have all that techy stuff in the programs panel, if not you can always just click edit softkey and remove everything and then add your own shortcuts to what you use most! :)

THANKS!

but we really don't need to put the work of others down.. though I am flattered as tech is one of the premier chefs..

Nah not yet. I have been working on one though, actually its a splash screen that could be adapted to banner size. My main concern was functionality for the first release. maybe next one will have a splash screen. I did not want to hype it all up and make awesome banners for it if it turned out to suck lol

Ok I have only been using this ROM for a couple hours, and so far I love it! A couple problems I have found, they maybe user error.

1. Don't like the small keyboard (but I have a cab for a bigger one)
2. sometimes Opera LAGGGGSSSSS ugh..... Don't know why.
3. When I restart my TP the clock always shows 'wi-fi unavailable'...?
4. Sometimes when the screen hibernates after not being used for a few minutes, I have to hold down the power button to get it to come back on. Maybe a Hard Reset will fix that...?

That is all for now, I will keep posting!

thanks for the info. I removed all keyboards. (prefer hardware). wifi will always turn on at boot. This is because of the VPN client. if you dont use the VPN client it can be uninstalled through remove programs. I have also noticed the screen going out to lunch since posting. must have been something that changed in my final build (where I removed all my personal stuff). I will look into it. Do you mean system lag with opera or network? Thanks! you could always try a hard reset. when I flash a ROM I do like 3 hard resets, someone on xda suggested it and I have to agree with them. I have not noticed any opera lag, but I have a sprint signal regenerator in my office.. I can post pics as it is quite impressive lol

Not sure if it is the network or your version of opera, but I am hard resetting now, when back up, I will test it out some more... This is a great ROM, and I am glad to be the first to use it. Do I get a Charter Member Jacket?

I dont know what would cause that, I fix it with other ROM's by just calling the phone to wake it up and the problem just goes away. I will see what I can find out though

Re: Sprint|ROM|WM 6.5 23009|Clean - 16M PP|raidzero B4B v1

Rom seems very snappy and smooth so far. The only thing I have noticed so far is when setting up favorite people panel, if you select the alternate layout with large pictures you get an error that forces settings to close and goes back to default setup. I"ll edit this post as if I find anything else to report instead of making a bunch of posts that could clutter thread as it grows.

EDIT: Opera is very smooth and fast for me, no lag that djbobby speaks of. Uninstalled the VPN client and wifi stays turned off as you said it would.
After uninstalling VPN client I have not been able to get a data connection established. Internet based programs as well as the comm manager cannot start a data connection.
There is also a shortcut to telnet-ssh in the games folder, not sure if you meant to do that or not.

That's because there is no alternate layout! whoops.. I honestly never looked into it I have never had ATcontacts that came with another layout...
that will be fixed on next release.thanks!

others will surely report back... But when I first ran it I charged overnight and did not let it touch a charger the next day. I was at like 40% by the end of the day, 12 hour period. I was using it lightly though as it was a weekend.

I tried to stop telnet from pretending to be a game. it has always done that on me for the past 8 months.. I thought I stopped that, as there is no telnet in my games section. I am going to uninstall the VPN client. I think I know why it makes it break, critical DLL is shared between windows and bluefire and when you uninstall, well you get the idea. I will cab up the stock the dll and upload it. Thanks for the feedback!

edit: heres a cab please try it and see if data is fixed. probably need to reboot after installation.

no diamondtweak. this rom is stripped. I may include diamondtweak next time, we'll see. as far as that data fix goes, did not work. I will need to rebuild without the VPN client and get the DLL from that build and then cab that one.

I like the diamondtweak because it stop data connection at a requested time, so it could save battery life, but the fellow geeker above you already posted it...

sorry if i sound anal here, your rom is all clean and we install whatever we want, like you said no bluff lol

Looks good Raidzero. I'll give it a shot later tonight.

Side question, what do you telnet into these days? I haven't used telnet in 10+ yrs! I'm not saying there isn't a use by anymeans, I just am curious. I'd like something to telnet into and have fun with from the phone!

Thanks for all your hard work on Titanium!
+1 for you.

well it does SSH also.. and i really dont telnet much, there are few times when I need the old WYSE60 emulation when telnetting to my AIX server at the office, ah yes I cant forget about cisco switches and routers and access points and other network appliances... most of the time I use SSH though.. I am going home now so see everyone later! thanks for all the replies!! :-D this site rules.

Hey I cant get my hotmail account to set up in this ROM. any help would be nice. when ever I go to set up new email account, i enter my email address and password then it tells me to go to windows.com for help???

edit: also Raid, the "go to lunch' problem starts up again whenever I restart my TP...? I have to call myself from my TP to get it to go away...

Having some issues with titanium weather radar images. Get an error about missing file (Missing file:\Program Files\TitaniumWeather\radar\1.jpg), and when I installed the updated version the error carried over for some reason.

Hey Raid, here is a Opera cab to use. It is MCUHO better than the version you built in your ROM. Would love it if you built this version into your next ROM...

Usually when I set up my hotmail account it auto finds the settings. It wont even let me add my own settings it wants me to go to the windows mobile site and access email there...

Also check out the thread I posted above with the Opera cab in it!!!

Looking good man! Little note you might like, if you go to SYS>[Build]>Shared>Common>Shell and open up the RGU file in there, search for aku, and then enter your ROM build in there, then it will show up in the about screen :D
