Updated7-29|ROM||WM 6.5 build 21828|Titanium|CDMA|Chaos ROM - Suggestions Appreciated

Hi Chaos, today I was going through the registry doing my norm with a new rom, and I noticed there was a repetition on a battery edit, Hkey_Local_Machine/Drivers/Built In/Battery and HKey_Local_Machine/Drivers/Built In/Battery (it is repeated twice in the registry and the first one has a higher value than the later) . I deleted the first stated and changed the value of the later to the highest it would go, charged it, I left at 5 with it charged to 98%. got home at 9:44 and it was at 39%, so this made a huge difference in the battery life (before this change in the registry, the battery life was extremely short), though I don't know what others have experienced with regards to battery life with this rom.

Found a neat theme for it too... hehe let ya know what i think of it.

Oops, must have entered something twice somewhere. What value did you end up at?

EDIT: Found where it got duplicated, one was Drivers\Built In and the other was Drivers\BuiltIn.
Also, looking at the regedits you gave I noticed something:

[HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Drivers\SDCARD\ClentDrivers\MMC_Class]
"DisablePowerManagement"=dword:0

Is that supposed to be ClientDrivers? May explain why battery life still bad.

HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE/Client Drivers/Class/(Then 3 keys: 1.MMC_Class,2.NAND_Class3.SDMemory_Class/dword=DisablePowerManagement with a decimal value of 0. Also under the SDMemory_Class should be another key called High_Capacity

I am plaaying around with poll interval numbers on the other registry edit, if you puy in the highest number it goes, it takes way too long to charge and gives an incorrect battery level, when you soft reset the device, battery level goes up about 20%, so I will test this out today and tomorrow and let you know my results of the battery poll interval numbers that worked out best.

TCPMP is much better quality- control and compatibility. The amount of file types that it can play is extensive and includes avi, playlists, http, 3gp and many many more.

And you are correct about WVD.

Just to let you know, I have all these things working on this rom on my Verizon HTC TP and it's still screaming fast and stable. The dialer is spot on, I like how it handles when your in-call.

Thanks for the heads up on the two things I'm looking for. I wasn't really looking for any other default games- unless you know of a Texas Hold'em game. That'd be cool.

Also, the hTorch flashlight will not launch. It states that it requires a newer version of the MS .NET Compact Framework than the version installed.

Found a post by Juicy, whos ROMs are supposed to have outstanding battery life. The reg they use is

I will be putting that in the next release.

You use Verizon and the GPS fix specifies Verizon, but I may give it a shot to see if that solves my issue.

I will install TCPMP player on my phone and give it a shot, additional media types could be handy. If anyone else has any thoughts on it let me know.

If anyone has any thoughts about WVD let me know also. If I get a lot of requests for it I may install it in the stuffed version, but if not I will probably just stick it in the mobile version.

I am sure you can find a Texas hold em game if you look for it, if you find one you really like let me know.

And thanks for the bug find! It worked in my last release so didn't think to try it in this one, must have accidentally unchecked something somewhere. I will have the latest version of C.NET in the next release.

Here is the cab for the .net framework cab, i also have the audio booster cab which is missing in this rom if anyone wants it, chaos, can you put the audio booster in the next rom?

I'm running your ROM and I have to say, it runs great. I really like the theme and it's very quick. I've had to install a ton of cabs though, which I imagine would prob. be better cooked. I really am new to this, so if these suggestions are retarded please feel free to let me know.

I've had to install the following: the verizon gps fix, quick gps, microsoft office 2007, tcpmp, wvd, adobe acrobat, volume fix, speaker phone volume fix and google maps. It still runs wonderfully compared to any of the other roms which I've had.

I haven't been able to find the default games which were on there (mostly the tilt game) and I'm interested in finding out how I can automatically make the speaker phone turn on if I turn the phone over.

Lastly- do you know if there's always a front facing camera with the HTC TPs? I've looked all over for the option to use it and can't find it anywhere.

Quick GPS has been giving me fits, but it will hopefully be in the next releases. My orignal goal for this was to keep it slim and quick, but I am going to be making multiple releases to accomodate those who want barebones, those who want something designed for mobile browsing, and those who want everything.

The three fixes you list, can you post the cabs or links to where I can get the cab? That way I can take a look and see about implementing them. Office and google maps will be in the loaded release. Acrobat will be in the mobile release. Couple questions on the other programs you mention - TCPMP - why is it better than WMPlayer? WVD - Probably a mobile release application from what I gather, since all it does is download web videos, correct?

I assume you mean Teeter? It will be in the stuffed release, along with any other programs people recommend. Are there other default games you are looking for? And there is a program called Gyrator (google it) that should allow you to do what you want with the speaker phone.

Lastly- do you know if there's always a front facing camera with the HTC TPs? I've looked all over for the option to use it and can't find it anywhere.

AFAIK the front-facing camera is only on GSM versions, we cdma only have one camera. someone can correct me if I'm wrong.
