Re: midNIGHT v4.5 100% Pure WM 6.5 Titanium ROM (22001/23017) Noob Friendly Thread

I have a couple of noob questions and I apologize before hand, but I have taken the time and read each post in this thread before. 1.) I.m using V4.5 Sprint and when I extracted the rom I do not see a file listed as "sashimi" but I do get an error message when my phone does boot up that it can not launch the file. I have also searched my phone but still can not find the file. 2.) With my phone I do not have a data plan, but after installing the new rom last night I noticed today that all the data plan functions now work... internet/weather/email...etc. Do you think this just a coincidence, and sprint screwed up last night exactly at the same time I installed the new rom? Thanks for any suggestion you can give and for your work on such a great ROM! dT

you have to download the sashimi pack from the first post and extract to your storage card. you are probably being billed casual rate for your data usage, which is bad.

turn your data off. you can do that in the comm mnager. carriers like it when you use minutes/KB that aren't on your plan.

Correct, you need to download the SASHIMI folder from the first post... MAKE SURE WHEN YOU EXRACT IT YOU ONLY HAVE ONE SASHIMI FOLDER. mOST PEOPLE WILL EXTRACT ITAND HAVE SASHIMI FIXED AND THEN A SASHIMI FOLDER INSIDE OF THAT. YOU NEEDD TO HAVE THE ONE INSIDE. SO IT SHOULD GO SASHIMI>>>>PROGRAMS, AUTO, MANUAL ECT.

NOT SASHIMI>>>SASHIMI>>>PROGRAMS ECT.

I USED CAPS BECAUSE THAT IS VERY IMPORTANT AND THAT SEEMS TO BE CONFUSING FOR SOME BECAUSE OF THE WAY IT EXTRACTS.

You might want to add a data plan or disable the data connection. It will connect automaticly to update weather ect.

Ah very good idea, I never thought of that! Now I just have to figure out why my comm manager only shows up phone, bluetooth and wifi. Thanks again!

there's also a cab in here somewhere that truly disables data. activesync and a few other apps seem to at times ignore the fact that you want your data off and turn it on for you. if you're not considerign any data plan i would install this program and not depend on comm manager.
