Actually the storage card method is quicker and safer.

Generally, Sprint service in Louisville suffers greatly when you enter buildings, whereas I can force my Touch Pro to roam on Verizon in those cases and have much stronger signal. Look into judging your signal based upon ##DEBUG# instead of looking at only the amount of signal bars shown... search through this thread and the forum, it has been discussed thoroughly. Hope this helps you out some. I agree! You can easily verify an image once it's copied to the SD card, and from there you don't have to worry about USB communication errors or computer failure during the flash.. much more reliable IMO. Re: [JUL 12] *11 Radios Available* Updated Touch Pro CDMA Radio Archive Thread
Hi all. I'm a noob too, but I figure i'll actually try the radios instead of asking which is best for my area!
I read the first post, I read somewhere in there how to flash, and I think this thread is perfectly self-sufficient. Thanks for all your posts guys EDIT: Alright, I just flashed from stock Sprint to the Telus one... I'll let you know how it is for DFW area! On a side note... it paused a second before loading up the mighty boot screen... my heart skipped a beat. but all is well now Last edited by ajskhan; 07-31-2009 at 11:50 AM. |

Re: [JUL 12] *11 Radios Available* Updated Touch Pro CDMA Radio Archive Thread
That's a signal I'd like to have in most places, myself. Nothing much wrong there. When you start getting into the upper 90s on power and over 25 on EC/Io is when things aren't so great (like in areas of my residence, but the Verizon radio has really helped my reliability).

Re: [JUL 12] *11 Radios Available* Updated Touch Pro CDMA Radio Archive Thread
I live down town Miami, FL and work in the Coconut Grove area. I get best results with the Verizon radio.
These are my results after testing each radio for 2 days. I use NRGZ28's ROM. Radio 1.03.09V works best for me. I get ~ -75 to 85 dbm, 10-16 db Stock Sprint radio was 99-110 dbm. 1.11.00FR was 95-100 dbm. Cellular south and US Cellular was 91-99 dbm. All above have 16-28 db. No problems with GPS. |

Re: [JUL 12] *11 Radios Available* Updated Touch Pro CDMA Radio Archive Thread
You really can't just look at one statistic and conclude that a particular radio is the "right" one. What really makes the difference is your real-world use (and sampling the stats in other places, if you want to be more exacting). I kept the Verizon because it made the biggest difference where I live (most problems) and performed at least as well everywhere else too.
