Sweet, I've been hankering for some new radios to come out. I've been on telus forever & found that it's just not that great for me. I'm in Oklahoma where Alltel is pretty prevalent so I'm gonna try the leaked Alltel radio & see what it does to my battery life.

no, it's just updated from the stock radio. you don't need to install another one first. romupdateutility.exe is included in the rar

True, it's been less than a day, but so far in Los Angeles the newest Verizon radio has definitely improved performance for me.

While the ##DEBUG# numbers aren't dramatically better where I live, my test txt messages so far have been delayed by only 15 minutes at worst (not ideal, but a big improvement over half a day at worst!) and phone calls are coming through well.

I'll stick with it and see if it's improved overall reliability over time. Sprint really screwed up their radio design for weak signal areas, methinks!

Also the phone gets noticeably less hot, so I expect battery life will improve as well. Yay!

here is 1.12.20F speed tests (4 bars from my bed upstairs in my bedroom)

and now i present to you the all new 1.12.31F speedtest from the same location within 10 min of the other radio test (jumping from 2 to 4 bars)

i have no scientific data other than online flash speed tests while tethered to my windows 7 laptop, im gonna flash stock and see what i get

1.03.15F results in the same location
