ok i have metro pcs and i live in detroit if i flash a radio lets say (VZW Radio 1.03.03) if i go to somewhere like montana or a place where they don't have metro pcs will i still get service on a better radio

I'll actually answer your question, how's that? =D>

1. MetroPCS is a CDMA carrier.
2. Radio upgrades are completely independent of the carriers. The only limitations are hardware/chipset related. (i.e.: Flash CDMA Touch Pro/Herman radios on CDMA Touch Pro/Hermans, etc.)

That said, I'm running the Cellular South V1.12.31F Radio on my Alltel (branded) Touch Pro. With the radio firmware that is available, that produces the best results for me/my area/whichever.

LOL... I would answer your question... But throughout this forum... I would estimate that this question has been answered about 2144 times. Use the SEARCH button... Simply look at the top middle of the PPCG page to a button that says the so called "SEARCH"... Within this "Search" feature the ppcgeeks has somehow added you can type in keywords which will in turn link you to pages which have this "Keyword" (its gotta be some new technology that no one has ever heard of...)

I wish people would search... And more importantly, I wish people would stop answering those who do NOT search... This person's answer is in the motherfornicating STICKIES!!! Jeez... Just change the search to show posts rather than just threads...

I hate to femaledog about this feces but its absoticuly ridonkulous!

I just flashed the newest sprint radio(1.12.34 i think) & I was wondering if anyone else had rapid battery drain with that one like I did. My hubby was bogarting the charger last night & I had 80% life left, so I left my phone in my purse. I woke up to it completely dead this morning. That has never happened before. I'm gonna give it one more day & see if it happens again, if it does I'm going back to Alltel...
