Doesn't the first line say it is used to acquire the sprint network?

I noticed that too. But just a few lines later:

"A PRL update will not:

* Improve signal strength on Sprint Network or off network roaming areas"

So I think that's pretty definite.

Actually, I read that as saying that a PRL update will not improve signal strenght anywhere; be it on the "Sprint Network" or "off network roaming areas."

Isn't it just wonderful how they word these things? (Typical technical writing).

"Off network roaming areas" I interpret as carriers which Sprint is not authorized to use (maybe because they have agreements with ones like Verizon?).

Re: [JUL 12] *11 Radios Available* Updated Touch Pro CDMA Radio Archive Thread

Can anybody in the New york area using a these radios tell us what their results are?
also if I flash a new radio will i need to go through verizon to ensure my phone is working? (like the HTC mogul used to be) or can i just do the *228 and expect everything to work?
lastly will i need to reset my phone after installing a new radio much like i have to when flashing a new OS rom?

after you flash your radio, the phone will work like normal. no calling verizon or dialing *228 is needed. and no hard reset needed either.

What if I have a radio version on my phone that isn't listed?

Any way I can contribute?

My Touch Pro from telus has radio version 1.07.01V
