it has to be something else that caused that issue for you I tried out both of those and they worked fine for me .... on a side note the tsowen taskbar you linked is for 6.1 which may have gave you a slight problem but shouldn't have effected your hardware

I am having issues with the extras.cab not installing adobe reader, world card, or rss hub. I see the update for rss hub. The others seems to install fine. I get an unsuccessful install error.

What's the HTC program that when you touch the top right (such as EV, Volume, battery, etc) the icons display on the full screen for easy access via touch?
