install from sd - no problem
email setup - no problem
sms - no problem
pictures / camera - no problem
dialer - no problem
gui - not really digging the sizing on some screens (ie. setup for email and notifications)
speed - no problem

thought i would test first and then talk (hee hee)

UPDATE:

Gen Y Manila 2.1 r1.1 is working, although there is a gap between the top bar and manila. this is a known issue and is as a result of an MS change in the top and bottom bar.

JD... anything in particular you would like tested?

update - tachi dialer has scroll bar down right edge (another known issue)

all in all i guess microsoft is doing what it always does... reworks its os'es to emulate the 3rd party apps and add ons that people have adopted. its a shame too, because they have to be splitting up teams to be working 2 differnet WM6.5 flavors

The gap is there on purpose to make it more finger friendly. i actually like it. You just can't see as much as you use to. This is why these 2.8 screens suck now. Can't wait to get my touch pro 2 with that 3.6 screen. All these improvements will look so much better with a bigger screen.

Thanks... I was wondering why they were there. I'm actually been thinking about going with the HTC Hero when it comes to Sprint.

All in all..... so there is not a way to remove the gap?

No problem I dont expect that. Just wondering if others are having similar battery drains with current wm builds. I am lovin it either way.

So far so good on 23036 .... I just wish there was a volume fixed, having to hit the task bar button is annoying.

Also, I tried installing a custom taskbar, like tsowen or bear bonz, and when you do this it installs, but then clicking the taskbar to magnify the buttons comes up blank. Weird.

The power usage of 23036 is like double or more than 23017. Minimum discharge is 148 and average is 243mA. did I do something to cause this? I also tried tom codons Aug 18th 23036 (I assume the same as yours?) and got similar results. there are no unusual processes running. Any ideas?
