Yea, batteries don't last forever. And with li-ion batteries, you have to let the battery completely drain before charging to get the maximum life out of the battery.

I have noticed that removing the battery after a flash and performing a hard reset using vol down/dpad center/power seems to work effectively but again it may be another placebo effect.

I'll try to avoid suggesting flashing to stock to others in the future.
its best off not to flash to stock first... see, be it a custom ROM or a shipped ROM, there is still data being transfered throughout the flash. flashing a stock rom only adds an extra step to the flashing instructions i posted way back and on a new thread even... and it can add its own files which may corrupt some cache within the NAND, meaning that another flash with battery removal would be necessary to release these corrupted files which cannot be overwritten from within Windows[Mobile]

I see that a few of you are noticing that my instructions were not simply placebo... I am only trying to help you guys with the knowledge that I have acquired over time... A few users are nay-saying my method in my thread... so any feedback would be appreciated... to 'prove' to them [per request of them] of flashing this way vs stock flash and overflash, whether it proves me wrong or not

From what I understand, you only want to fully discharge once in awhile with li-ion, for the purpose of calibration. Otherwise you want to stay with charging before it's dead.

That's completely the opposite of what I've been told. It seems ppl just never really be knowing what they are talking about. I'm going to google it and see.

UPDATE: Li-ion batteries lose their ability to hold a charge due to age, unlike other batteries.

Agreed...you want to charge fully and drain fully first couple of charges to calibrate...after that, li-ion should not have a noticeable memory effect, and you can charge as desired...just bear in mind that rechargeable batteries have a finite lifecycle, so the more times you charge, the more miles you put on the battery...ie I charge when my battery gets down to 10-20%...if I know I'm going out and need juice, I'll add some earlier than that....but I would not routinely top it off from 50% up to 70% just because I was sitting somewhere and had a charger handy...

Sorry, what you are looking for has been pulled of the market, due to the new digital play TCPMP video/audio player that's built into my ROM'S now.... At this time, I have no intentions of releasing a stand alone version and then again I just might release a new stand alone version...
