Well, thanks for trying anyways. Maybe those steps will work for others having issues. I just wish I knew why it is so tempermental on some devices, and works perfectly on others... More testing is definitely called for with this issue (hopefully a new build will fix it?).

i have no idea how to build these things. so i don't understand it either. all i do know is that out of every single rom i've tried (and there have been lots and lots and lots), this is literally the only one i've ever seen this problem from. i've switched to a few others while i've been trying this one the last couple of days just to see if there may be something wrong with my device. but so far, every other one i've tried has installed perfectly. i really hope RC2 will work.

thanks for all the help with it.

Re: Elite Rom RC1 thread

I hope you the Elite team doesn't give up on this project. Don't let a few negative comments get in the way. I see a lot of potential in this ROM. I'm still blown away by the video playback performance which I've never seen in any other ROM. Youtube videos play very well, even my motorcycle videos with fast moving backgrounds which studder on all other ROMS. The touch pro has very poor video acceleration, but this ROM seems to improve it to an acceptable level. The main thing that keeps me from using the ROM right now is the hardware keyboard key mapping issues.

Thank you for the kind words!

BTW, on the keyboard mapping... you do have a Sprint Touch Pro, right? Because I do myself, and all the keys seem to match up exactly... numbers work, Fn-K is ";", Fn-L is ":", etc... in fact, I typed this on my Touch Pro on the hard keyboard using RC1.

i've been reading through this thread a bit. it appears that many of us are having problems, albiet different problems, which is quite interesting. there are definately some issue with
RC1. I'm just glad to see i'm not the only one. i was beginning to think it was my phone.

Yep, seeing that myself.

Sure does make it interesting for us, though.

I'm on a sprint touch pro as well, but my number do not work. The entire number row gives the wrong output. Actually some of the number keys result in applications popping up like calendar and others are symbols like # ; etc.

Weird that we would get different results between 2 sprint phones. Interesting.

Really though that's just nitpicking, I gotta say the wait was long but for a first run (There WILL be more right?), this is quite nice!

Also, why the hate on? As far as I'm concerned, the best way to get your hate on is to create your own work and prove how much better it is. Don't just sling junk all over the place. It makes it hard to search for help, info, tips, etc when every other post is hate...

sorry for that rant yo
I realize this is a rather late reply to your post, but was just reading through the thread and noticed you had no major issues, and you are using Telus. This is very good news, as that is a carrier we were unable to test with.
