I pulled mine out of Silence's 3.3 kitchen. Works like a charm (though damn it's a RAM hog... lol)

Your hw keyboard might be about to die. Same thing started happening to me before I unlocked and flashed. Sometimes I have to reset the phone multiple times before the keyboard starts working again and then sometimes it starts typing like thissssssssss. From everything I have read those are the symptoms before the kb dies. I haven't gotten around to having them send me a replacement yet, read to many stories about people going through 5-8 refurbs before getting one that doesn't have problems or defects. Maybe I will flash back to stock ROM this week and run up to the store and see if I can get someone feeling nice enough to give me a NIB replacement. This happens with a lot of the older TP's, got mine sent from Sprint the day they came out so it's an original one.

VGA Signal Atenna, Data Arrows, and Phone icons

I've been meaning to do this for a long time and finally got around to it. I don't know if any of you noticed the clear volume icon and battery icon on the top taskbar and then, couldn't help but notice how the signal icon and the data arrows were so distorted and pixelated. There weren't any OEM thin signal icons with data arrows that i could find, so I made some up. These look like the original except I made them, haha. They are all in VGA resolution, so no pixelation occurs. I didn't bother with making the thick bar icons, because I find the thin bar ones superior. If you switch over to the thick bars, you'll see the same old pixelation. If you would like to edit and make your own, you can find them in the CDMA_RSSI_PPC.dll.

-Antenna is now thin
-Data arrows are thin to resemble the thin bars

Look at attached image to see what they look like, and install the cab, then soft reset. (If the CAB doesn't work for you, then download the zip file and copy/replace the CDMA_RSSI_PPC.dll into the windows folder of the phone, using Total Commander.)

Re: [ROM] [KITCHEN] [06.25.09] *Silence & MightyMike* Production

Ok probably a stupid question but I was going to try out those icons but when I try to install the cab it says "stickfigure VGA Thin Signal" cannot be installed. To try installing again to a different location , choose a location:

Is there any thing special I have to do to install the cab?
