Planning on adding more tests and roms before I make any threads about it, but that's where I'm at so far!
Also have some SPB bench statistics but they seem pretty inaccurate, expect my full procedure and a bigger list later!

I'm sorry, but I've tried all of Juicy's ROMs including the latest 8 version and they are no where near as fast as this new Mighty Silence ROM. In fact Juicy's rom was rather slow in some areas, especially boot time and qtv video performance. For example, youtube playback is very choppy. I measured video playback a good 5% slower than Silence/Mighty ROM for qtv videos. Boot up time, hell, probably 50% difference if not more. VSbenchmark doesn't tell the whole story. For video playback performance and filesystem speed Silence ROMs dominate. I think DCD will also have a very fast ROM once he gets all the issues worked out, but DCD's video performance still lags behind silences. I measure DCD's QTV video playback over 5% slower than silences as well. By the way I use coreplayer with the "gone in 60 seconds" sample clip taken from the benchmark thread we had a while back. For me benchmarks don't mean crap unless they translate to real work performance (ie, startup, programs launch speed, video playback, gui responsiveness, etc).
