Just flashed it.

Few things I noticed:

1. It's WM 6.1.
2. It's very lightweight, almost no extras.
3. It is freakin' FAST. Like faster than Juicy's WM 6.1 roms.

That's about all I have so far.... installing my usual Mobile Shell 3.0 setup to compare speeds vs. the other 10 ROMs I've tried in the past 2 months, but it's looking like this is the fastest. Even with MS installed, bootup time is crazy fast.

okay flashed and this is my first thoughts (on vzw touch pro)
so with touch pro 1 enabled 59 mb free on bootup, 58 mb after some minor use
default pagepool is 6 mb
the verizon carrier cab works fully on this rom (the one for the mogul)
stock applications with the exception of gfx boost which also aides in performance
so far, this is the best almost stock rom I have ever used. Very low memory footprint!

For vzw users looking for stock we have two
scrosler's roms and now dcd's triumphant return
definitely a great mix for many users.

i guess i'll bite the bullet and try it out. i'm running mightymike 4.16 now so i've been itching to flash another rom. i don't like 6.5 so DCD+6.1+Touch Pro=:)

oh, and DCD if you ever read this, i've been a big fan and donater from your Titan days. welcome to the TP

How do you flash a .exe? I've always flashed via sdcard with a .nbh file lol.. I no noob question I'm sure but just kinda curious figured you nice peeps would fill me in.
Edit: Never Mind I'm such a dope lol I see now.. just open with winrar and you can extract all the files if you want..or us this and flash straight got it...sorry for the dumb question.

Just run the exe from your computer and it will auto-install.

I no now lol.. I cant active sync thats why I always use my sdcard... lol.. but you can still get the .nbh file from this if you open the .exe with winrar :-p

I believe it was issues from installing a mogul set onto the pro that necessitated his return. (although I know nothing about verizon & their hijinks)

ps. ther is a SPRINT dcd TP specfic carrier cab in that ftp dir to.

After using it for a few hours, I'm pretty much in love. I never thought I'd go back after using 6.5 but this makes everything so easy and organized. Strange that there's still no release thread on here or XDA-devs...

Bummer, looks like Push/Activesync directly from the phone is broken (new setup link does nothing). Works if setup through Activesync on the desktop though :)


Edit: My. God. THIS IS FAST! Maybe I'm just used to the slowness of 6.5 but HOLY *($#&%*)#&%)#%*& this thing is BLAZING!

would someone mind uploading it. for some reason when ever i try to download it form DCD site i get about half way and it quits on me. maybe i'll have better luck downloading it from someplace else. thanks

Nothing to see really, it's a almost stock 6.1 on first install. Once you enable TF3D it looks like....TF3D lol Very minimal imo.

I have an issue where the scroll bar is much smaller that displayed. The scrol bar is displayed at default size but only 50% of the bar near the border responds to touch/stylus. It makes using file explorer quite difficult and using the rom kinda impossible.

I hit the bar but it clicks the files instead.

Anyone know of a registry entry that makes me increase the scrol bar response area? It need to double that entry.

Activesync via your PC, seems to be broken on the phone/ROM.

Battery life I haven't tested yet, seem's to be on par with all the other ROMs. Been running for an hour or so now and down to 80% battery. Normally I'd be at 90% on my ROM.

That's easilly fixed by adding a sprint connection connected to "Cellular line" diailing out to "#777" and leaving username and password blank.

If your data isn't working, run his 5/20 Sprint Cab.

Keep in mind this rom is beta. I dont think DCD is going to put up a post until at least a 1.0 revision. But yes, I told him that I can't believe that it has taken months for me to try a rom that doesn't have the keyboard lag. PRETTY NUTS.

If you want a minimalist rom that is super fast, this is it. Goes along with all of his rom characteristics. I can't wait till he tweaks it fully.

Even after a redownload, reinstall and hardreset, I can't get the scroll bar to work correctly. yup, not compatible with my pro for some REALLY odd reason. Hopefully the release version works.
I'll make a thread asking about the regedit settings which I'm sure will solve my issue.

This and Juicy 4 are the only roms that I've used which takes only 2 seconds to list the windows directory.

I haven't see a basic ROM that is not lighting fast... Mighty/Jucy/Psyc ROM are lighting fast and they've done a great job integrating stuff into their ROMs and at the same time managing to keep a stability/speed.


just my 2 cents... naked ROM's don't turn me on anymore! lol

@Vertigo, basic ROM's from Mighty/Juicy/etc are *NOT* as fast or even close to this. Flash it and give it a try :) I'm running two Touch Pro's (identical--same manu date) and there is a really noticable difference between this and the Mighty's "basic" rom.
