Update: I've tried wrestling with FN light area & space key and pressed it few times- Apparently keyboard came back to life...so I'm guessing your diagonse is right..off to sprint store after rejuvenating my device's ROM virginity

Bear in mind that on some of these ROMs, when you first flash, the keyboard won't work until you reboot. Has happened to me the last couple times I've done a fresh flash.

It's not functioning at in the 23557 roms but it really isn't that big of a deal. I need to get use to not using the d-pad anyway. You can still do everything you need via touchscreen. Here's NRG's tweet regarding the matter:

to fix dpad u just need to install a new volume control .. this is the one i use but it will change the speaker icon in the taskbar
unzip and drop in windows folder then reboot

Downloaded the Energy.HERMAN.23554.Sense2.5_Cookie_HomeTab_GTX.Th emed.BETA.Apr.08 ROM and once unzipped, all I got was the NBH file. I have never flashed from the SD card before as I have to many items on my card and, if I am correct, I need to do something with the card which may erase all of my data on it (FAT 32).
Anyone knows how to download the regular file to flash from PC on the newer April 13th ROM. I hope that it isn't like the last 2.

unzip first then just drop in the NBH file and run ROMUpdateUtility.exe

YES, put NBH file in RRU folder, run rom util and it'll pick your NBH file
