A couple of quick questions for those that have already flashed the 2.5 ROM's. 1st has the contact issue been resoved and 2nd what messaging client is being used now? Is it Htc vs windows. Thanks for your responses.

23544 Works for me. It took 3 times to get by the calibration screen. Just a little clunky.

Ill try 21895 in a day or 2.....

Battery seems to go fast.

After using this ROM for about a week, I really like it a lot! I am especially liking the Sense UI and considering making a permanent which from Titanium, however, I still prefer the windows default SMS interface and the windows default contact manager. There seems to be too many bugs and lag in these 2 areas for sense UI in this ROM right now. I have tried and been very patient with multiple fixes for the HTC SMS app and I end up just going back to the windows default version. Does anyone know how to remap the messaging and people touch flow tabs to execute the windows default versions instead?

Ok, THIS IS ONLY FOR SPRINT PCS CUSTOMERS. I DONT KNOW IF IT WILL WORK WITH ANY OTHERS...

INSTALL THE #1 CAB (REMOVE PIC MAIL)
SOFT RESET
INSTALL THE #2 CAB (SPRINT ARCSOFT)
SOFT RESET

MMS is working now...

Additional Information....

To have your "To" field generate your contacts apply this fix...

use reg editor and delete these:
HKLM\Security\Contacts\Chooser
HKLM\Security\Contacts\PropertyPicker
SOFT RESET AFTER

For keyboard input back in the Personal folder:

Use the Registry Editor and delete the Redirect key in HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\ControlPanel\Input

To make the MMS handle more than the default SPRINT limit... Change this:

HKLM-SOFTWARE-ARCSOFT-ARCSOFTMMS-UA-MM1-MMSCSETTINGS-SPRINTMMSC

Change defaults for both WAP1SendDefaultSize and WAP2SendDefaultSize to 5120000...

Sup buddy. The Sense2.5 Mar10 version is using HTC and not M$. But with using the 2016 datefix cab, and SIM card cab fix (still needing in newest ROM. Just verified), the 'Remove Pic/Reset/Arcsoft/Reset' process, and Blu Cab fix, everything works great, and fast!!!!

Interesting thing i noticed, the problem with the contacts (selecting one to e-mail) and seeing a blank list, notice this, the list is actually there, you just don't see anything, almost like the text is all the same color as the background. I noticed this when i saw 1 contact in the list, but i selected "R" for my friend Reid and noticed it went to a contact, even though the line was blank, i selected it, and in the "To:" field, my Reid friend contact was properly showing in the list along with phone number. So it appears that the contact list in SMS does actually show the list when choosing one, you just can't see anything due to the text color being the same as the background (guessing this is it) but can actually use search in the line above, and select the result blank box below to add. Hope this helps discover a fix to start cooking in.

Use the edit I put on my post right above yours and it should work. Not mine, found it in anohter previous post... but it works.

Oh yeah, i saw that, i just wanted to point the interesting fact that the contact list is actually there and can choose from the list, you just can't see the text, but it's there. I just wonder what EXACTLY removing those 2 registries are actually in effect doing, since the list is actually there and selectable. I hope someone can actually make that fix into a CAB file though, so us SASHIMI user's can just dump it in our auto-cab dir for automation fix of that as well. Until we at some point can fix it inside WM itself.

This will make the contacts visible again? If not I would probably just stay on the 1-27 rom.
