I haven't been keeping up with everything lately, but seems like this thread is still going strong. I just want to say I was pretty disappointed when I found out that HD2 won't be coming to sprint like i first hoped. But I'm pretty sure Sprint will get another WM phone in the end of the year, fingers crossed again....

Here's my issue. I can send and receive text just fine, works perfectly. My issue is when I use the people tab I can't dial out. I go to all people, menu, sim manager and it says sim card missing. Has anyone else had this and how do I fix it?

I just flashed my phone for the first time! I followed the instructions and i LOVE this ROM.

I think I have to do that flashdance as stated above - only because I tried to download the smsguy pic mail cab - and restarted my phone, and now its stuck at the loading screen. I have Sprint TP. From reading, I just need to redo all my steps, flash to original rom, then flash this one again. UPDATE: did a manual hard reset and all came back - will still do flash dance when I get home!

But I just wanted to say this is so beautiful, and my heart is so hurt that the HD2 is not coming to Sprint...cause I know this layout would be so beautiful on that big screen. Praying they come up with something. But until then - I'm loving Sense on my TP!!!

I too have had ongoing issues with the HTC messaging app. I have to be honest, I never liked it to begin with, and have gravitated to the Windows app (happily). The whole HTC messaging/contacts skinning makes no sense to me, but I guess they feel the need to customize the look/feel of (HTC) devices. I love the Sense 2.5/Cookie Home page! Great work NRG!

First off love the Energy Rom! I switched from MightRom after they stopped updating.

I am an old alltel customer who is now on Verizon, whenever i update roms getting MMS working is quite the chore. Hopefully my experience will save some people the problems i have been having getting it working on the Energy.HERMAN.23542.Sense2.5.Mar.05 rom.

After doing a fresh Rom flash i perform the following steps:

1) Install Zenyee Disable HTC Messaging 1.2.CAB, then soft reset.
2) Install Remove PictureMAIL & Arcsoft.cab, then soft reset.
3) Install Arcsoft Alltell MMS 5.0.69.44.cab, then soft reset.
4) Install dcd Alltell Carrier 20081031.cab, then soft reset.

After this I sync with my exchange server to get my contacts. I have sent a series of MMS to people on Verizon and AT&T and both people have received them and have been able to send MMS back and i received them.

I tried various versions of Alltell arcsoft cabs, and Verizon arcsoft cabs. I have tried editing the registry and have spent countless hours over at least a weeks time researching all the fixes i could for Verizon MMS and Alltel MMS.. and this is the only thing that has worked.

Hopefully it saves someone the trouble i had, and allows them to use the new 23542 Roms which rock. Love have all the buttons at the bottom.

Keep up the great work on the Energy Roms they are awesome.

Yes this works on Sprint phones (I have mine working though I am on Boost using Sprints network).

I have been searching this forum and have the SIM card error when I try and send a SMS message from the contacts list. I see a fix for Alltell but I am on Sprint. Is there a fix for the Sprint version?
