Hi i just recently downloaded energyrom build 23518 jan 18th edition and i cant get my computer to find my device i am wanting to download the newest build but my ruu wont find my device and when i go to bootloader it just says serial instead of usb... my phone charges fine through my computer just wont find it.. ive unchecked the faster connection box thing like it says if its not reading ive disabled fast charge and a few other things PLEASE HELP!!!

Love the new ROM except for the messaging. What happened to old school threaded messaging that worked well, zoomed nicely, scrolled fast, put things in the correct order, and didn't take up half the screen with the input dialog box?

Sigh. Does anyone have any helpful suggestions? I tried installing an 5.2.1.22 arcsoft messaging cab but it didn't work.

I realize that is how you normally do it, but mine isn't bold in any way because I already did that. It's not bold, but the "1" is still there and it continues to blink for a long time. Is anyone else having this same issue with the 23518 1/27 build?

not sure which will work best for you, but two ideas that have worked for me when I get the error you speak of: unplug the phone from the USB. Soft reset phone. while you wait for the phone to reboot, also reset your computer. once they're both fully back up and running again, plug in USB again, and try to flash your new ROM again. if this does not work, follow the detailed directions on flashing from an SD card. should be stickied on the CDMA Touch Pro page. be careful, I think there's a chance you can wipe out your SD card's other files, so be sure to have a backup copy on your PC, or elsewhere. good luck, hope this helps.

I second that. Only thing I did not like about "HERMAN 21889 Standard M2.5 27.Jan.2010."

Only thing is that it drains battery as if it was
cake for the phone only downside

I second that, battery drains out fast.

Seems like this rom has a couple issues, I may have to find another one... sucks, since this is the prettiest rom in my opinion.

Awesome Roms NRG............ thanks you for your hard work..

I had no problems with any NRG rom,
but only 1 thing, that is receiving mms..
I can send and receive texts,,, I can send mms, but was not able to receive mms.
I tried all the NRG roms I have downloaded since Dec.
I had more but deleted the rest..I have always had the mms problems with all NRG roms,
so all weekend I tried them using all kinds of fixes.. nothing worked..

edit: just got it to work... this is what i did.. hope this helps..
installed origdefault wmtexting4manilla.cab then remove picturemail and arcsoft.cab which is attached to this thread,
then my own arcsoft cab for mms for metropcs...
