Mine got stuck on the NRG setup notice when I flashed 21864. Going back to do the flash dance again and see what happens. Seems my phone doesn't like anything after the 9/20 release.

Thanks, that sped up the process but I was able to get the tri-color screen up. I have tried a couple of times to load this ROM. Do I need to "flash dance"? And if I understand that correctly, I need to flash the stock rom (anyone have a link to a alltel/verizon one? I assume I need the verizon altho it is an Alltel Touch), hard reset, then flash to the new rom, and then lastly another hard reset. Right?

Okay, so I got back to the tri-color screen, flashed to the 23016 ROM, and it appears to be loading properly. Could there be a bug in the 23071 ROM causing my problems? A problem with my phone that is causing? Would a "flash dance" fix it?

The "flash dance" routine is the standard answer when someone is having trouble. It tends to cure most ills. YMMV as mine has.

And yes, flash to stock, HR, flash to [insert ROM flavor of the week here], and HR again.

Take 2 on attempting to flash today's "stable" release....

I have a question, how do you flash a stock rom if this rom is stuck on the setup screen.

I mean how do i gain access to my phone because it wont active sync?
