Yes and if you follow the reg path you can change the value to 0. It MIGHT improve battery life. The post I read stated it made a BIG difference for that user but there are many factors effecting the battery.

Sorry, mine survived the soft reset but what is strange is that setting vibrate AND ring produces a non-stop vibrate. Now that might be fun for some people

but it seemed odd to me. I never use the vibrate then/and ring to conserve battery, but that's just me.
