I flashed this rom several days ago and then began my saga.
Originally, when I flashed the rom, I did a hard reset. When I tried to run a soft reset, the phone ran a hard reset. Three time in a row. I reflashed the rom and it worked fine for about 12 hours. I noted a lag in tf3d, but I think it was more of me blazing through the tabs. I had never seen tf3d run so fast.
About 12 hours later, after tweeking. I had a MAJOR problem. I reset the phone when I saw the program icons were missing in tf3d. When I did a soft reset, the phone froze at the initial screen. It would not go past the screen. Which is another issue in its self since I was not at home and out to dinner 50 miles away from home waiting for the dinner party to arrive.

Long story short I think I grabbed a copy of v117 not v117u. It was when there was a mad dash to grab the links. So I assume any customization was BAD for the v117. I noted the phone froze when used thumbcal or spb backup.
Anyway, I saw the new rapidshare links for v117u and grabbed it. After a night of tweeking, I noted my battery life has gone out the window. My battery was at 55%, after reflash and tweeking. The next morning at 930am the battery was at 18% sitting idle with only galarm set for an alarm at 930am. I put the phone on the charger for about 45 minutes. Later around noon and after one hour of use, which consisted of two quick phone calls and deleting four emails on gmail via opera, my battery life went from 96% to 79%. A short time later, I was on opera and tried to turn off my data connection. I noticed the phone stuck and would not turn off the data connection. I did a soft reset and the phone froze again at the initial screen. After I took the battery out twice, the phone did a hardreset.

So deck can see if it's something I’m doing (which is more likely the problem) or over installing programs, here what I’m doing.

After reflash, I moved all my saved data back to the phone(see below)

I moved saved ringtones, for contacts, to the windows/rings folder.
I moved saved Google maps cache to application data/Google maps
I moved my i.e. favorites to windows/favorites.
I registered Resco explorer
I installed thumbcal to the phone dir, without setting it as default calendar or default task

I installed galarm 2.0.3, without registering it
I installed Resco photoviewer and Resco registry to the phone dir without registering either of them

I launched photoviewer and set the program as default photoviewer.

I ran opera and had to manually set my favorites again, which was lost once again.

Lastly I ran my pim backup via spb backup.

I was running radio v1.03.15F during all the drama.

I flashed back to stock and reflashed one more time. After reflash I only installed my pim data from spb backup and galarm.

I flashed to radio v1.11.00F after I flashed this rom and noticed extreme battery drain. One text = 1% of battery. I made one 10 minute phone call and the battery went from 49% to 25%.

Again, I hope it's something I'm doing during the tweeking process. If so I can at least, knock that $h*t off.
I flashed back to mighty rom 5 around 1130pm last night, set galarm for 10am and now at 2pm I have 90% left on the battery.
It’s a shame really since I like this rom A LOT and when it's working it kicks a$$ with no other rom even close to the speed, touchflo3d2, etc. I hope deck can figure this out. I can’t say enough good things about this rom, the tf3d2 is amazing and it was the most complete copy I’ve found.

I've had no ROM problems. My phone has been running great since flashing to the 17 build. Very impressed and cant wait to flash to the new build.

thank you for the detailed feedback. As for the battery drain, ouch, very sorry to hear. My battery life had been pretty decent on the earlier builds. v0118 has new advanced power management, so battery life should be extremely better. I would love to hear some feedback on the battery life on the new update. As for thumbcal or spb backup, i do not use either of them, so any testing of those programs would be by the user. I have actually become very fond of the tf3d2 calendar sync with gmail, and I use Sprite Backup for my messages and call history. I am very sorry you had to deal with so much drama. I would give 0118 a shot, definitely the best build by far all around. TBH from your explanation, it doesnt sound like you were doing anything wrong although im not 100% of the side affects with those programs as i dont use them myself. Later tongiht i will go ahead and install spb backup and resco photoviewer see if i get any side affects. Can i ask, what are the pros and cons of resco photoviewer? I have been more then happy with the latest htc album although i have never used resco's photoviewer. I messed around with galarm and it didnt seem to cause any bad side affects. Hope some of this information was useful. And again, Thanks for your support and help.

Resco photoviewer intagrates with Resco explorer, plus it has built in photo editing. And, for me, it's easy to navagate thru, open, close, program, etc. The cons is it does not support finger scrolling.

I just flashed v118 and my battery is about 80%. I'll run it for a while and report back.

Hey Deck... first off... GREAT ROM! This is the ONLY 6.5 ROM that I've found I actually enjoy using. I've flashed nearly all of the 6.5 ROMs found in the forum, and this is the only one in the last month where I haven't even considered going back to a 6.1 TP2 style ROM.

I'm currently on the 0117 version and had a question about the Notification Enhancements being removed in 0118. Is it using the old school Windows notifications instead of the HTC ones now? I've grown fond of the HTC software, and never cared for the cheesy looks of Windows Mobile.

Main reason I'm asking is that I've tried installing the Notification Enhancements on other 6.5 ROMs and it never works. I've got the right stuff to get SprintTV going again (I know I'm one of the few here that uses it), but the notifications are the one thing that's holding me back on switching to 0118.

One other thing, (and not as important to me) is there a fix for the HTC dialer recent calls glitch where you scroll down from the dialer screen and get all the overlapping text and multiple selections? (I know that's a dumb question, if there was a fix it would've been in this ROM since it's 99.9% perfection )

I've searched and found a few references to the problem, but no fixes. I'm guessing it's a 6.5 problem since the same dialers didn't do this on 6.1.
