Flashing from virtual machine

I can't run the unlocker or do manual flashes from windows 7 x64 so I have been using an older machine with vista 32bit on it. I was thinking of using virtual pc to create an XP virtual machine for some other programming I am doing. Has anyone tried flashing or running the unlocker from a virtual machine? If so, did it work and what OS were you running in the virtual machine?

Re: Flashing from virtual machine

Another option that I may try is what I used to flash my video card. I have a usb stick with windows pe on it. I might try it from there first and see how that does.

Well I can't speak about your set up but I have tried a few times using linux and virtual box and it's always a no go. Honestly the best option is to flash from the MicroSD card, in my opinion its easier and faster.

Re: Flashing from virtual machine

Your problem w/flashing seems to be unique. There are many users on this forum that flash using windows 7 64bit. If you have an unlocker issue use the tools on the page to manually enter the boot loader.

Re: Flashing from virtual machine

Well, TBH the problem I was talking about was with my mogul. I have not unlocked the TP yet. I will try it with my Windows 7 x64 and see if it works with the TP. The problem I had before was that it lost communication.
