One criticism I have about your roms is that you are pretty communist about your builds. I noticed in silence 9 you pulled out a lot of settings from the control panel, making it dificult for the user to get at.

Another thing I don't like about the most recent lite build is that you have sounds that come on when I connect and disconnect from data. There appears to be nowhere to turn them off that I can find. Another way you lock the user into something that shouldn't be locked.

It's nice that you stay with touchflo version 1 too. I think the 2nd version sux and is a step backwards.

Another way you lock the user into something is with the soft keys on the home screen seet to "files" and "sms." I tried changing these values with diamond tweak, and your rom for some reason doesn't let the change go through. I've never had this problem on any other rom. Not everyone is going to want to use your exact soft keys either.

Again this is meant to be constuctive criticism.
You can change the softkeys at HKLM\Software\HTC\Manila
"HomeLSKPath" left softkey path to executable
"HomeLSKText" left softkey text for softkey
"HomeRSKPath" right softkey
"HomeRSKText" right softkey

I use this little handy program which lets me set softkeys on the Home Screen

Go to Start -> Settings -> Sounds and Notifications, and disable the sounds for "Connection Established" and "Connection Disconnected" (I'm not sure of the exact titles, but you'll figure it out).

Not just you...trying this ROM for the first time, I noticed OperaL in /Windows. Put a shortcut to it in \Windows\Start Menu\Programs and you're all set.

Maybe a bug in the auto shortcut part of the ROM?

Re: [May.15.09] *Silence Roms* [-6.1 -6.5 -Rhodium -Kitchens]

I posted a few pages back about my sms messages repeating in the 6.5v2 rom. I hard reset but still had the same issue. I now removed the arcsoft mms program that I downloaded from the original silence rom thread. I have no more repeating sms messages. Maybe arcsoft doesnt work with 6.5 or do I need a different version?

Why are all the alphabet letters scrunched together in the Contacts screen?? Rhodium V2 I just flashed!! Also when loading the keyboard comes out on the screen when TFLO3d is loading?? I also can't get the installed sliding keyboard sounds to work??

Re: [May.15.09] *Silence Roms* [-6.1 -6.5 -Rhodium -Kitchens]

WOW
I have been running this V2 6.5 Rom for 3 days now and each day I can only bring my battery down to 40-45%. This is leaps and bounds beyond anything I have had in the past. Lots of music, Youtube, emails pulling, Internet etc. The battery life is now where I would of expected the HTC TP to be in the first place.

The only other issue I have had is the YouTube Application on the v2 6.5 Rom. Opens fine and plays videos fine but will not bring up the stop plat forward back options once the video is going. In most cases is freezes the phone or hangs it up for a long time. Maybe someone can 2nd this issue for me so we can get a fix?

Thanks

Re: [May.15.09] *Silence Roms* [-6.1 -6.5 -Rhodium -Kitchens]

I'm wondering if I'm the only one - the auto-backlight setting doesn't work for me with the silence medium ROM. If I select "Auto Adjust backlight" the backlight never changes even in a very dark or very light place. On the stock ROM (and others) if I hold my finger over the sensor the backlight dims.
