[ROM] *JOKER ROM* 21042 Version 1.0 RELEASED 06/07/09

This ROM has been tested on Verizon and Sprint only.

I am not responsible for any problems that may occur as a result from flashing this ROM.

Warning:

YOU MUST HAVE YOUR PHONE UNLOCKED TO USE THIS ROM

HOW TO UNLOCK: http://forum.ppcgeeks.com/showthread.php?t=42503 (Read Carefully)

INSTRUCTIONS:
1. Download from link at top of this post.
2. Extract file to Desktop (or any preferred location)
3. Open Joker Rom V1.0 RUU
4. Connection phone and sync with Active Sync
5. Run Custom_RUU.exe (Follow On Screen Insructions)
6. After flashing I recommend a Hard Reset (Instructions Below)
7. In the folder that you downloaded there will be 4 additional cabs and a GFX folder. Copy all these files to \Storage Card\Joker (or anywhere on the storage card). DO NOT RESTART DEVICE UNTIL ALL CABS HAVE BEEN RAN
8. Run tcmdpocketarm.cab (Total Commander)
9. Run S2U2-1.62-VGA.cab
10. Run xbmod Manila fix V1B.cab
11. Run xbmod_CDMA_FIX_2.cab
12. Open Total Commander (Start --> Programs --> Total Commander), navigate to \Storage Card\Joker (or whatever location you put the files in), copy the GFX Folder and move it to "\Program Files\S2U2\" Replace the current GFX Folder with the one you just copied.
13. Restart Phone, enjoy.
14. Post any problems that you may have with the ROM here.

Turn off your device
Hold Volume Down Button AND
Hold Center Select Button AND
Hold Power Button
After your screen comes back on release all 3 buttons
Press the Volume Up key and follow on-screen directions

IT LOOKS GREAT!! im liking the theme. personally im all set with a good ROM right now but the theme is awesome. if you are able to release just the theme at some point. that would be awesome.

and yes glad to see some other names in the box. thats why the TP ROCKS....you always have Choices...like a kid in a candy store lmao...

As soon as I get a finished ROM I will release the theme for it, I took a combination of other themes at this point to get started. I'm hoping to make my own icons for it soon and change it up a bit.

on your weather tab, how did you get the transparent background on the 5 day forcast???
also which file controls the font on the weather tab? im using the HD weather tab port but the font looks bunched up. thank you!

Beta Release download link on post 1, if someone can please flash and test that would be great, this is a first test of the rom and I have it running on two phones. A Hard Reset May Be Required if you are having issues.

I do not know if it will boot on a verizon device, it would be great for you to test to see if it would. You can always get into boot loader and re-flash so you got nothing to worry about if it doesn't.But knowing if it works on a Verizon phone would be a great help.

Ok, boots fine on my Verizon touch Pro with a nice amount of free rom (45mb). Looks very good so far. Very nice themes and icons. The internet tab is just a big white blank block though ;) but still launches fine. Thats all I'm gonna do with it tonight , gotta catch some ZZzzzz's before work.

I ALWAYS hard reset after a flash. Nice rom , few issues I have encountered so far,

1-Internet tab is blank

2-Background. I gotta be honest I like the fact that you customized the theme but that background makes it damn near impossible to read the email text weather ect.....

3-Phone app has six blank white boxes OVER the answer/end key

4-Dual IE icons

5-PPCgeeks shortcut doesnt load

6-GFX Boost ERROR not loaded

7-Dual Clear Storage apps

8- No bluetooth icon

9- Couple other quirks that are Rhodium (not rom) related ,ie crashing in messaging etc.

Overall this has been a nice rom. I have seen very good memory AND battery usage so far. This rom has alot of potential.

Ooo One more thing I forgot to mention,

1-Left soft key (bookmarks) in Internet tab loads a white page you cannot exit.

2-Right soft key (menu) in music tab does nothing.

Having some issues with the final build, some User.Hv! error in the kitchen, im working in finding out the problem, as soon as it is fixed then version 1.0 will be release.

Welcome aboard, and this problem is caused by a oem package.

It is caused by the .rgu file which you may have edited recently, and or added a new oem which has a bad coding in the .rgu file, so just look through your recent changes in the oems with the .rgu files.

Hopefully really soon, I was about to post version 1 a few days ago however I started noticing that TF3D freezes and you have to restart the phone to get it to work again. I am trying to find out why it is freezing. Some slight issues with kitchen build process trying to figure out the User.HV! errors that I am getting. Once I figure these out it will be released. Im hoping by 06/01 at the latest.
