I may be wrong but I think you got the threaded sms/mms. That program was ripped from the treo pro and the mms is in the threads. I believe, if you use a different sms/mms app it will work the way you want. I think if you just download the sprint pic app that is suppose to be with the TP you will have the seperate mms/sms. Hope this helps a little
