Actually, for me putting it in the \Windows folder didn't work. I tried it as well as the \Windows\Rings folder. This worked for the phone ringtone, just not the alerts like text or e-mail. Either way, putting it in My Documents definitely did the trick.

Wow.. Well, as long as you got it working, that's all that matters. All of my stuff are in the \Windows folder, but they are in .wma format. What are yours? MP3's?
