I have two issues, and if theyve already been addressed, I apologise and please direct me to the answers.

I have an alltel touch pro. It says im roaming everywhere, and only says 1x. The guy at the store tried to get the PRL to update (mine is 01903) he said there were much newer ones than that. Im in an area where alltel still exists and didnt get squished into verizon. Any ideas how I can get this thing to update? Ive tried the *228 but i get the verizon lady and it fails when i try to do any of the menu options. The problem has existed since I went to the Dominican Republic. The phone didnt work there, despite seeing towers, etc.

Second, Ive installed arcsoft for alltel, and incoming picture messages take forever to recieve, or dont come in at all. I get the information window, but download is greyed out. Ive tried changing the delivery to manual, toggling the data connection, etc, with no avail. It does sometimes tell me something along the lines of you must disconnect the current data connection to get a data session started to recieve this message but whether i say yes or no, it does not recieve the message. I cannot send at all. It just gives me the message failed, retry now or later.

edit. Ok, after some searching I've found out how to update my PRL, and it seems to have fixed the first problem.

Did you try changing the "Connect via" option to "The Internet" in Arcsoft?
