I installed Silence 6.1 and it is really fast; minor glitch with not being able to open up email messages has got be browsing for another ROM until it is resolved. Going to try the R3BORN ROM here and see what happens. I digged the 4.16...

That is such excellent news... it means I don't have to read another bizillion page thread! Thanks so much. =D>

And thank all three of you for responding so quickly. I apologize for my overwhelming post, I have a lot of info in my head... and to be honest, I don't fully comprehend the whole picture. But I'm sure with some hard work and application I'll get it. I'm just a little scared... I love my phone.

Sashimi is exactly what I need, but I don't want to confuse myself. But perhaps for lunch...

And my daughter is okay - thank you for asking. Her car was recovered and she'll heal. She's a soldier, she can take it.

Is Sashimi better/easier than just an SDConfig.txt UC file?

Depending on what area u live in u may want to flash a radio as well from Here

Benefits include better signal and call quality

I, as well as others, have had great success with the Telus Radio but it all depends on the area of the user

I know the gentleman who flashed it originally said that he flashed a new radio (at the time I didn't know what he was talking about... LOL); my hardware profile indicates Radio version 1.03.03V (I'm thinking it's Telus) and it works. Would it be best to upgrade or should I leave well enough alone?

If the radio you are using works well for you there really is no need to change. If you are experiencing weak signal, or poor battery life, or slow internet, you may want to try different radios to see what works best for you.

Cool. So do I do that before or after I flash the ROM? And apparently it is the Verizon shipped rom.

You should wait until after you flash. That way you can see how the currant radio works on the new ROM.
