Re: [ROM] [MAY.11.09] MightyROM 4/R3BORN

Anyone know what happened to the Arcsoft MMS for the Sprint Touch Pro? I can't send/recieve MMS messages even with the Picturemail.cab from Sprint's site that is linked in here..

A few weeks back I know I had a working version of Arcsoft on here.

Re: [ROM] [MAY.11.09] MightyROM 4/R3BORN

I'm still on 4.16. So what does everyone think of R3BORN? Seems like more people are having more problems with it than 4.16.

"DispName"=""
"IconPath"=""
"IsReadOnly"=dword:0

Set HTC Album X button to close not minimize: ok_minimize change value to 0

Boost TFL3D Performance --> HKLM\System\Storagemanager\Fatfs and change key Cachesize from 16384 to 32768
---------------------------
More Camera Modes:
To Enable 'Burst': HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\HTC\Camera\P6 -> change the value "enabled" from 0 to 1
Works. Keep button pressed down to take more pictures

To Enable 'Sport': HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\HTC\Camera\P8 -> change the value "enabled" from 0 to 1
Works. Takes 5 pictures in quick succession

To Enable 'Video Share': HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\HTC\Camera\P9 -> change the value "enabled" from 0 to 1
Works
--------------------------
Four icons in a row in WM Programs/Settings screens
Add Registry Entrys:

HKLM\Software\Microsoft\Shell\
Add New Key "IconConfig"

In there Add DWORD Value:
"HorizontalIconSpacing" Dec value="112"
"VerticalIconSpacing" Dec value="115"
"IconTitleFontSize" Dec value="6"

cleartype off on rotation
HKLM\System\GDI\ClearTypeSettings\OffOnRotation\

Disable SMS Sent Notification

[HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\Microsoft\Inbox\Settin gs] Set SMSNoSentMsg to 1

Another supposed TFL3D tweak for better performance: HKLM\Software\OEM\TFLOSettings:
SpeedHigh: default value (25) <-- Change to (5) / SpeedLow : default value (70) <-- Chnge to (14) save and soft reset
------------------------------
Fixing Low in Call Volume====(not needed for htc touch pro for alltel)

Some users experience low in call volume, apply this fix to solve this issue.

File is in storage card labled "audiopara3.csv" Backup is located at \Storage Card\Backup\ "audiopara3.csv"

Go to the folder /Windows,search for audiopara3.csv, use total commander and copy the new audiopara to /Windows and soft reset.

------------------------------
disable keyboard popup===does not for for alltel htc touch pro
HKLM\Software\Tegic\eT9\IME
change "DefaultInputMode" from 1 to 0.
------------------------------
Change save location of MMS:
\HKLM\Software\ARcsoft\ArcSoft MMS UA\ Config\Folder\Picture Path\
by changing the picturepath to \Storage Card\My Documents\My Pictures\
------------------------------
Change size limit for sending files:
\HKLM\Software\ARcsoft\ArcSoft MMS UA\ Config\UI\Size Limit
change sizelimit to 7124000 to get about a 7MB limit
------------------------------
Louder volume "In-Call"
\HKCU\control panel\sound categories\\in call
set initial volume to 4
------------------------------
Change the soft keys on the home screen
[HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\HTC\Manila]
change HomeLSKPath and HomeRSKPath. HomeLSKText/HomeRSKText = the text.
-------------------------------
Boost Performance:
Navigate to: HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\GDI\GLYPHCACHE\
Changed limit from 16384 to 32768

Navigate to: HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\System\StorageManager\FATFS
Changed - CacheSize to 4096

(NEW!) Navigate to: HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\StorageManager\Filters\f sreplxfilt
Change “ReplStoreCacheSize” dword decimal value to 4096 or 8192 (edit: I find 4096 best, g-funk finds 8192)
----------------------------------
Another BAttery Increase

[HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Drivers\BuiltIn\Battery]
change from 1250 to 20000
----------------------------------
Email and Attachments on your Storage Card

Using the file manager in activesync, create the following folders on your Storage Card.

\Inbox
\Inbox\Attachments
Now browse to \Windows\Messaging (SmartPhone) or \Windows\MAPI (PocketPC)
If you want to save all of your existing mail, move everything in this directory to the new ones on your Storage Card.
Now fire up your registry editor and navigate to the following.

For WM5 Phones: [ HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\MAPI ]

For WM6 Phones: [ HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\System\Inbox\Settings ]

Then create the following STRING VALUES.

Name: AttachPath
String: \Storage Card\MAPI\Attachments

Name: PropertyPath
String: \Storage Card\MAPI
Reboot your phone and then goto your inbox. If you can see all of your mail then mission accomplished. Double check your attachments as well.
----------------------------------
Change the location of Ringtone file storage
============NEVER TRIED THIS===============Wondering if this will make the phone take longer to ring
WM will look for Ringtones in \Windows\ or \Windows\Rings by default. You can change this location to, for example, your Storage Card (example given is for ringtones placed on the Storage Card root folder) by a simple Windows Mobile registry tweak.

HKCU\ControlPanel\SoundCategories\Ring\Directory = “\Storage Card\” (REG_SZ string, no quotes)

To return to the original location:

HKCU\ControlPanel\SoundCategories\Ring\Directory = “\Windows\Rings\” (REG_SZ string, no quotes)

Note the default location may be “\Windows\” or “\Windows\Rings\” depending on your Device provider.
-----------------------------------
You can disable auto-wakeup when keyboard is opened.

[HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Hardware\DeviceMap\Keybd]
Create new dword "SlideWakeup" with value of 0 and soft reset.
-----------------------------------
just wondering how many of these are already in this rom? anyone know

Re: [ROM] [MAY.11.09] MightyROM 4/R3BORN

I'm having an issue with my slide out keyboard. It stops functioning randomly, and my phone slows to a crawl, so bad that I can no longer use it until a soft reset. I've reloaded the ROM three times now, and hard reset twice. The issue is still there. Any ideas?

I had this as well, soft reset would not resolve for me and I'd reloaded several ROMs after this occured without resolution. I'd actually put back on a Stock ROM and relocked it with the idea Sprint would need to replace it. The tech at the Sprint store Hard Reset it (Stock Sprint ROM). Battery out, battery in, Volume Down, Round Enter button, and Power key - hold all 3 in that order until message comes up to Hit Vol Up to reload and the Vol Up to restart. If you don't succeed, start the sequence over. Mine has not reoccured - fingers crossed. Best of Luck...

I shall try this. Thank you for your help!

EDIT:

Hey, just wondering, did you reload a custom rom, and your TP has been functioning without issues AFTER the aforementioned steps were taken? I'm currently back on the stock rom, but I really want to load Mighty ROM 5. Ty!

I've tried MM5, but dropped back to 4R3born for a time, currently I'm very pleased with Pyski v3, it has a few different twists then some of the others, I've probably tried 3 or 4 of the major ones and some unknowns.....This is a bit more of an addiction than I'd like to admit
