Re: [ROM] [MAY.01.09] MightyROM 4/R3BORN
Hmmm... Is the Alltell ARCSoft MMS 5.0.69.44 still the correct program to use to enable MMS in this ROM? During install it tells me that it was successful but it may not look correct since it was designed for an earlier version of Windows... now, when I click to send a picture it responds with "Message Delivery Failed. Or Message Recipient Failed." Another thread I read indicated that the following settings:

Edit - Problem solved! Cup of coffee and a slap in the face and I found the spot. Seems that "Connect via" in MMSC properties was set to "My ISP," whereas the data connection itself is called "NETWORK." Last edited by Rourke Swift; 05-03-2009 at 12:29 AM. |

Re: [ROM] [MAY.01.09] MightyROM 4/R3BORN
The only drawback from Sprint Picture Mail is that it is not a full all inclusive application. Arcsoft will show .GIF while sprint only shows .JPEG. If you get a picture mail with audio and a GIF attached Sprint don't give you the full effect.

Re: [ROM] [MAY.01.09] MightyROM 4/R3BORN
I've never flashed from my SD and though I followed my own step by step on the FAQ it's not doing anything.
I download it the rom to the root of my SD. How do I unrar it from my phone? Is there such a thing as pocket rar? I'll be honest and say I haven't searched.

Trust me, it is easier to flash it from desktop usb connection. Skip the SD flash...tried it earlier but couldn't get it to work so I went the other method. Flash in a minute!

Re: [ROM] [MAY.01.09] MightyROM 4/R3BORN
The SD card route is not that hard. You just have to rename the file to RAPHIMG.NBH I just flash from USB b/c I'm lazy to wait to transfer and take the SD card in and out(faster to transfer using a card reader). That said, If my battery is low and I'm too lazy to change batteries, I'll flash from the SD card b/c you don't have to have at least 50% battery.

Would the Sprint PictureMail work for Alltel MMS though? Sorry for being so obtuse, I'm just new and starting to frazzle myself a bit... might be time for a smoke break.

Re: [ROM] [MAY.01.09] MightyROM 4/R3BORN
Has anyone come across a goofy issue where their mail account info is "missing" while using this ROM? I have about 5 POP3 email accounts that I check from this phone (never had any problems with MR 4.15 or 5), and re-created them in the device shortly after flashing. The first time, I had used a backup to restore them from, and they worked great - I could receive with no issues. I went back into the account screen to tweak a few settings however, and while the accounts were there, tapping on them to change the settings took me to the create new account screen - everything was missing (though I could still receive messages).
I figured it was from a bad restore, so I did a hard reset and re-created the accounts by hand. Worked fine with no problems, a few hours (and a couple of soft-resets) later and the issue was back where it will not allow me to change my account settings. Any ideas? I searched the board, and came up with a potential lead in relation to the saving large attachments on the SD card setting, but those messages suggested removing the check (disabling it), deleting the inbox directories off the SD card, and doing a soft reset. Tried it, and no luck - just thought I'd run it by here to see if anyone had any advice. Thanks in Advance, BigJohn |
