Tragic news indeed, it was a small bit of solace that though there's an exodus of Touch Pro CDMA chefs, the best of the bunch was still rocking the TP for everyday use.

Have fun in the fertile land of wide expanses of LCD screen and current generation resolutions Psyki! Keep us suckers stuck in VGA-land in mind if the 2.5 Manila port ever finishes! (assuming it ever actually starts back up...) =)

Well, I reflashed to Psyki4_929, made sure to not use QuickGPS, flashed to the latest Sprint radio, and TomTom appears to work, at least in so much as it got a lock from my desk here at work. It will be interesting to see if the problem is gone, or just intermittent. Either way it seems to be an outside force rather than any sort of issue with the ROM. Thanks for the help brainstorming Psyki.

It's funny we are all comming to the same conclusion at the same time....I figured it out about 2 am last night.....Every GPS program I have was working fine until I ran the "Quick GPS" program then it went back to rebooting or just not working....So I was going to test it for a couple days without running QGPS, but as I see others here getting the same results I figured I'd add my 2 cents....I can tell you two things though, For me it did not seem to matter what the APGS settings were set to, If I run QGPS it kills the GPS, also Once the GPS is dead nothing would fix it except for a Hard Reset! So for those still having problems try a Hard Reset and then Make sure you do NOT download a Quick GPS update! Does anyone know where this QGPS Data is stored...Maybe deleting the files would save peeps from a hard reset?
Psyki, as for the radio question you asked, I have not tried that, and before I do I have some questions...Does your Rom change the radio from the stock radio that I have always used? If not, wouldnt it stand, that if my phone still has the same radio it always had, and that always worked, that it would not be a Radio Issue? I have never messed with Flashing new Radio's so I am kinda Ignorant on the subject...where do you go to find out what Radio you are running? Is there more then one radio in the phone i.e. One for the phone, one for the gps, one for BT?

sorry if this is posted in the wrong forum. i am using the psyki rom and was wondering if there was anyway to boost the bluetooth signal of the TP? I can't walk 3 or 4 feet from my phone without my connection crapping out. just wondering if this was a phone or a headset issue?

Just a quick thought on the agps/quick gps issue. I have not gone back and checked everyone with this problem, but it seems most are on the sprint network, and the problem cropped up at once for everyone. Is it a sprint change thing? I am with USCC and agps/quickgps works fine, in fact if I reflash a different radio and don't use quickgps it really slows my connection time down. I have 5 gps programs all working just fine.

I'm having the problem now to....There is a thread with others also on the General TP board....http://forum.ppcgeeks.com/showthread.php?t=92926

Mine still had problems after a hard reset and no QuickGps update...
But now seems to be fine after updating to the new Sprint TP rom...
I will be out about tonight at work so I hope the problem doesnt crop back up....

Did the kitchen end up fine after the hard drive failure?

Well aint life funny. I was roaming and using amazegps just fine. When I got into my home area I desided I had not updated my phone in a while so I did *228. Now you guessed it, I have the same gps problem as evryone else. It appears to me to be systemic. I will try swapping radios when I get home. I will be interested t0 find out whats causingi it.
