without ati driver i got a 767 for drawing bitmaps

with the driver i got 745

so there is a tradeoff

also to note, with out the ati driver my d3d test applications were slower but supported more things, example the lighting test had more colors.

you can try this yourself

warning! without the ati driver these tests will be extremely slow and may slow down your phone, but dont worry if that happens just soft reset

I like this rom alot but i keep having the touch flo restart by itself alot. is there a fix or could it be something else?

Does it restart when you do anything specifically? I have no touchflo issues...

I install it fresh then it boots fine but after a min or so the touch flo crashes and says touch screen to start touchflo

Update (its only after I sync all my calender events and contacts)

Weird, manila is pretty solid for me, perhaps there is something funky in one of your calendar events or contacts? Do you have any reminders set to go off?

Never had a problem with touchflo

my touchflo would never restart on its own unless i added a city to weather or removed a tab or made a change to the touchflo layout. r u on a verizon tp? sounds like a memory issue


also...psyki, i noticed u in the energyrom thread a lot today, ive been running his rom today, have u tried it, i want to note out to u that he has a flipping clock with 5 appointments underneath, but the call history button is there though. i think i would rather have a flipping clock back cuz it looks way nice

Well, there are two versions of the appt mod, one that works with alltabsbg and one that does not and I'm pretty sure he is NOT running alltabsbg. There's some lua scripting in the appt mod that is over my head so I'm stuck running the version that supports alltabsbg since I want that in my rom. I do know that the dude who made the version I'm using removed some of the code which is what makes it so fast to flip up to the 5 appt view, I bet that's what killed the flip.

I've debated ditching alltabsbg for a few different reasons actually, what do you guys think of that? One of the issues would be that it if someone chose to install it it would likely break the appt mod, heh. Actually would you mind testing that in NRG rom? See if it breaks the 5 appt mod.

sure thing, as per ur request i have installed Showaco AllTabs BGv2.2a.cab on energyrom 630. soft-reseted and 5 line calender still there under the call history, under the clock. and all tabs now have energy purple dot wallpaper too (should be noted that it was only on home tab before), and i just saw my minute animated flip down so that still works too
