[ROM] [Sep 29] Psyki 4 - Custom Glass Manila 2.1 (23017.5.3.0)

I flashed this rom and now my touch pro freezes up. It runs fine for about a day then it just locks up. I have to do a reset and then it goes to the boot screen and stops. Have to manually get into bootloader to reinstall a rom. No i don't think this is a rom specific problem since it also happened on the latest mighty rom build too. Has anyone else experienced this?

Also where can I find the cab for the keyboard used in this build?

when you first flash the rom do Clear storage this will solve most if not all the bugs you might run in to .


your problem sounds like a bad flash imho have you tried reinstalling ?


also flash back to the stock rom and back to this rom that will some how fix some troubles too

ya i second that, especially if you're on sprint, i suggest flash back to sprint, let it run customizations (and while your at it make sure to goto settings and update your prl just in case you have an old one), then flash psyki, and after its done customizing, hard reset or clear storage once...and u should be good to go, just in case redownload the original rom from first post incase it went bad the last time

I've probably reflashed this phone about 8 times in the last 3 days. I will try to reflash it back to the sprint oem if it crashes again and then redownload and reinstall this rom (I love it). If that doesn't fix it, then I will just turn in the phone and get another one.

think u can edit the 1st post or make a [BUG] post so we can track all the live bugs so you can have a good list to go off of what we need fixed? most of the bugs i have are just minor annoyances but this thread has spanned so many pages long i'd imagine its impossible to keep track of them all if you don't put them somewhere. lately i havent been able to answer my phone, i slide the phone to answer or click my call button to pick up and nothing happens, i hear a hiss from my speaker like its connected but no sound in or out and the phone says connected, i have to hang up and dial again. this happened on my wifes new phone too after i installed tsowen taskbar icons 3.x & the tachi blue dialer, i hard reset her phone and its been fine i think but i never installed the tachi dialer on mine yet, im gonna test out some dcd roms then ill flash a fresh copy back to psyki and see what it is i install that screws it up

Hey guys! I appreciate all the enthusiasm still going around my rom, I sincerely apologize for being absent the last week. Something personal came up and I pretty much wasn't able to work on roms all week but I'm back now and should hopefully have something for you guys to look at soon Thanks again.

As for the dialer not answering I think there is a conflict somewhere with the dialer I included in the ROM. I've been using Tachi v2d for a while now and it seems to work great. Things to expect from the new rom: Tachi dialer, new manila version which can dial all contacts, no keyboard popup on boot, threaded rhodium sms shows entire message and a ton of other bug fixes. A bunch of packages are getting updates as well, and I'll upgrade some of the software like g-alarm and skyfire and oh yeah, some glass/transparent additions as well. Also I know I keep saying it but since I don't really foresee adding much new software to the rom I'm going to shoot for making a clean rom with only the glass theme them and system tweaks.

alright! sounds great, cant wait, btw the Tachi_Phone_Canvas_Knop_v2d.cab is what i installed and it gave me that answer bug today, i installed Tachi_Phone_Canvas_Knop_v2d-EnergyROM.Blue.with.White.Canvas.cab on my wifes the other day and thats when that happened, hopefully if u cook them in the problem will go away

i wish v3.2 could be ready today i got all day to be on my pc, hardly ever do i get a day off work , fyi theres a new irisbrowser out, and a new tcpmp hdhq tech1 version too, wvd 1.4 (cant remember if 1.3 was cooked in or not) and i also noticed some new tsowen taskbars too (im gonna try v3 1.5, been using 1.4 for a while) but i know u got the goofy ones cooked in, i noticed he has some new battery bars with numbers from 0-100 every digit which look awesome

ill have to say this is one of my more favorite rhodium manila roms. the one major issue i was having was battery life i was probably getting the worst battery life ive ever had so i thought id throw that out there i dunno if what you can do about but thanks for the roms.

Thanks! I'm not sure what to say about battery. Most users have reported better and better battery with my newer roms but there are still a few users which get horribly battery life, so it seems kind of random. I have data set to automatically disconnect after 60 seconds and check email every 30 minutes, no problems at all. Have you tried a different radio? I have a sprint phone and using the telus radio in the seattle area was an improvement in service and battery. Are you using any "always-on" software?

Pski your work is always exellent. some how i am getting battery problem i tried hard reset, reflash and i have tried other rom where battery was good but with this rom i am only getting 4 hrs only . may be i have to change radio. hope u update new rom soon and thank you for your hard work. i have tried all rom but only your rom is complete. Thx.

I ran into that problem as well, turned out Advanced Config had screwed up the registry entry for reconnecting data after a call, a fairly common occurrence apparently. A post a few pages back by Vertigo mentioned the problem which fixed the issue for me.

should say "#777" and not anything related to "GPRS"
