Updates your phone with a file that tells it which towers to poll, i.e. - your calls will connect quicker (depending on the area) and it will generally take less rings on someone else's end for you to hear your phone and answer.

do i need a file for my area/provider and if so where would i find it

Just your provider.. As for PRI update files, those are pretty hard to find. PRL updates, however, are managed by Corolada and are easier to acquire. But PRL has more to do with data transfer than actual calls.

my touch pro has broke again, this time they offered me the tp2 for cheap.
I will be receiving it on tuesday thats to all who donated and helped me pay for it!
Ill still be cooking for the tp though.

cool. i'm still thinking about upgrading. i have a brand new, in the box TP1 that i'm thinking about selling to help pay for a TP2. just not sure yet.

congrats! I asked my rep how many TP's I would need to send back to get a TP2 lol, no response yet...

thanks man haha i was on the phone for 30 minutes cause they kept transfering me to a higher level tech, but on "tier 2" they were finally able to help/

what version are you using?
