Re: windows 6.5 question?
I have had quite a few pocket pc phones and i have been nervous in the past to unlock them. I have the touch pro and unlocked it and now am running Mighty Rom 6.5, Its very easy to do. Just follow the tutorials at the top of this forum.

Re: windows 6.5 question?
I have been using fallen's rom for awhile now. My only complaint is that after a month it seems bogged down and I haven't added anything new after the first day. Still just text and email like crazy... little bit of vpn from time to time, GPS. Not even alot of music. How much better is Juicy? How much faster? I have most of the cabs I need on my SD card so I am not too concerned about that. I am downlding juicy 7 now, just curious on what people think of juicy vs others.

Re: windows 6.5 question?
I don't believe there will be an "official" WM6.5 for the Touch Pro. Instead there'll be people here cooking up ROMs for the Touch Pro.

"Upgrading to Windows Mobile 6.5: We know of a few phones that will be upgradable from 6.1 to 6.5, and Microsoft is clarifying this position a little. Mainly in that if they meet a minimum hardware standard — 128MB RAM, 400 MHz processor" But time will tell.

I hope we see it but the only phone that HTC has openly said will support WM6.5 is Diamond2 and TP2. Regardless - I'm not going to buy a new TP2 until Telus support GSM/4G up here... that'll be in 2010 and by that time I'll probably see flippin' TP3! ![]() |

Re: windows 6.5 question?
i'm doubtful that htc will openly support an older device for 6.5, but when you really think about it....whats the first thing we do when we buy an htc... we "upgrade" to a custom rom, so in all honesty, not a whole lot is going to change whether they choose to support it or not. there's enough people with brains capable of doing it better even if they decided to do it. the only person who's going to be using an htc provided 6.5 rom is the average user, and thats not who we are.
