Why Aint Sprint Touch Pro Gps Not Working???

Just do what I do when my phone isn't working right and I know it is a hardware problem. I live about an hour away from a service center so after telling Sprint's Advanced Tech Support that they usually (all but once) will do an advance exchange for me. Just come up with a good reason you can't get to the repair center, if they ask. If they don't ask, then don't tell.

Your hardware is broken. It has nothing to do with roms you flash.

If you are unsure this is true, reflash back to stock rom and radio and test. If it behaves the same, its your hardware.

Blaming rom chefs for your hardware issue (or HTC build quality) is an interesting approach, but it's like cursing the Rain Gods when it rains. It doesn't change the weather, and it pisses off the Rain Gods.

learn some freaking english instead of being ghetto fabulous, and like someone else said, have some respect for the people that put a lot of work into these roms. it takes hours, days, weeks for some of this stuff to come out. Honestly, I have never had a problem, and this one more than likely, although it is possible its hardware, is an ID10 T error.

Also, do you realize in every post in this thread you say "MY GPS DONT WORK". WE GET IT. freaking hell..

Try stock instead of customizing the crap out of your phone and see if it works. Its called a control. If you know the hardware works, you go from there and make sure your software works.

And the FM radio limitation in the Touch Pro is a hardware issue, and we can have all sorts of software gurus in there working on it and its still not gonna work. Unless its hacked in the radio/spl to be enabled, no rom is gonna fix that. Perhaps maybe you should give it a whirl. We might get lucky.

lmao that has to be the funniest thing ive heard all day. to the OP its not fair to blame the ROMs on this site, no one is forcing you to use them any way. You have to give these guys credit where credit is due. It sounds like you honestly just have a bad Touch pro. If the hardware isnt working, then their isnt anything any hacks or roms will due. just take it to a sprint store and get a new one.

you are probably getting noob answers because of the way you are posting, it takes more work reading through your posts, than to try and help. Multiple people have told you to take it to a Service Center, which is the most obvious thing to do. Which you should have known if you arent a noob. The chefs here have made theses devices do way more stuff than even HTC thought possible. Ive tried almost every ROM out with 6.5 and never had an issue with GPS. If you are going to listen to any advice in this thread, listen to schettj.

GPS has always worked for me. It's why I've been using HTC phones for my past two. We've had GPS long before iPhone or other popular devices that have it nowadays.

Some people have had a slight lag on their TP GPS but if you rule out software by flashing the stock ROM, then you must have a bad phone. It happens. If it's defective they will swap it out.

Funny thing, I just had the same problem, I couldn't download QuickGPS and my GPS was not working in Google Maps. I Spent like a whole day trying to figure this one out, and i felt real stupid, first i thought it was a hardware problem, but that wouldn't explan why quickgps wasn't working.

anyway, here's the fix I did, even after i hard reset this setting stayed the same, I don't know why

go to
start->settings->phone
then click on "services" tab on bottom
then get settings for "Location Settings" and turn it "on", some reason mine was set to "off" and even after a hard reset, it stayed off.

problem solved for me! i feel stupid
