Not only is that .gif crippling on a device, my PC has -never- played .gif images smoothly. 2ghz AMD 64 bit processor (one of the first 64 bit processors), 4gb RAM, ATI radeon x1650 (512mb of ram)... I don't really have a weak system, it's just a little dated. People who put those stupid images in their sigs ALWAYS brings my browser to a crawl whenever I have to scroll by... doesn't matter which I use, IE, Opera, Chrome, FireFox... Just a pain in the *** really.

I know my sig is a little big, but I keep it to just that, no additional text. It doesn't completely blow up a mobile phone's view, and the file size isn't huge either.
