Question Help "MicroP-Wrong Platform(0x47) What does this mean

Hey folks, got a head scratcher for you.

What does MicroP-Wrong Platform(0x47) on the boot loader screen mean?

My Backlight no longer cuts off, unless I power off the phone,

The Soft reset button is not recognized

My hard keys don't function very well

The little led light circle no longer lights up.

I have hard reset severs times, reflashed might mike and stock, I have returned the phone to stock rom, radio, and SPL, and still nada

Sprint has graciously agreed to ship me a new phone, assuming I return this one, and all will be well,

But anyone know what might be going on with this phone. the Serial number of the phone is 842H714563 ET008-00 A. I've had it since November, so it may be one of the early production runs...

Any thoughts while I have this busted phone in my pocket waiting for the replacement phone?

Did you try taking out the battery for a while?

Could be a memory issue...

EDIT:
Just as a follow-up, wanted to let you know that when you see something like 0x00000 or any number followed by x followed by a combination of numbers and letters, it's usually a memory reference (an address in ram). By taking the battery out, hopefully the volatile ram will clear out since there's no power being supplied to it anymore.

Did you accidentally try to flash a diamond ROM or something? How did ti get that way? Something must have been forced onto it?

Naw, that is something that I have tried real hard to keep from doing that. Discovered a new little trick, this thing has the neatest little black and white checkerboard flash thing when it starts up.

Aww, my little phone is trying to be cute...

Re: Help "MicroP-Wrong Platform(0x47) What does this mean

Got some good news, my Phone is back, after taking the battery out once more, the phone came back... I have no idea what got stuck in the memory where, but it looks like this issue has cleared itself... I'm still sending it back, cause if it can do this at random, there is no telling what weird things this little monster might do next

For sure. That is your best option.

RAM can always go bad although it seldom does. It could be under or over voltage among many things. I had a 1GB memory stick installed in my laptop which kept throwing address errors like that. Luckily, when it comes to laptops, ram is replaceable vs. soldered ram in phones which is pretty permanent.

Anyways... glad to hear it was cleared up, and glad to know I was on track with my advice. This thread might be useful to someone with the same problem in the future.
