"open" what?? Are you talking about flashing the ROM or opening a program??

Alright, need a little help from ya'll,
I've been running v 1.22 since it came out. Batt life was pretty good for how much I use it. The other day I was shutting down my car bluetooth and didn't hold the power off for long enough and it ended up making a call--I tried to hang up with the phone but my phone froze so I soft reset. Ever since, my data is ALWAYS connected, even though I did not change any programs. Weather is manual, e-mail is every 2 hours, stocks are off. Like I said, everything was working great up until the bluetooth issue. Now my phone is on fire and batt dies in about 3 hours.
I flashed to 6.5 (v1.16)and have the same data issue, reflashed back to 1.22 and still have constant data connection. Again, e-mail is set for 2 hours, weather is manual, and stocks are off.----any help??

Funny you should mention that, I recently paired up a Bluetooth headset that I had not used in awhile. I'm having the same issues. Back of the phone is extremely warm and battery will be dead in about an hour or so. As I'm typing this, I'm charging my phone back up so I can flash back to stock ROM and see if the same problem shows up.

For the last couple of days I've also been expierencing these issues. Data is usually on, don't know why, and my battery drains quicker than... I'll see if I can find the solution in between everything...

To fix the data turning itself on and excessive battery drain issues..

Go into weather panel -> settings -> Connection Tab
and uncheck "Auto Update Data" AND "Establish Connection", and check "Disable Checking For New Versions"

worked for me...A server may be down or who knows...

RSTOYGUY--Thanks, I think that was it. I don't use weather panel anyway so I just deleated all cities off of it as well. I don't know what I'm going to cook my breakfast on now that my phone's cooling down.

Haven't looked at 6.5 since I released it, but it looks like it's a weatherpanel thing. Since it's in both, I'd do it on that one as well.
