I am running 6.1 and I don't have that happen to me.

By the way, if you see my earlier post, do you have Outlook? And if you do, do you have the same problem I have with Notes?

I just tested my Notes in Outlook at it seems to work fine. I updated a note in Outlook and it updated my TP note when I synced.

I'm running 6.5 (I don't recall having that problem in my previous 6.1 ROM either)

I don't remember if it was happening in my previous 6.1, but I don't know if I looked at an Outlook updated note. Mostly I look at the notes on the computer.

I can't run 6.5 due to program incompatibilities. So, thank you for your help. But it is more related to 6.1.

Did you do a Hard Reset when you flashed?

I can not hard reset. I have tried every way I could find, but my phone does not have a hard reset. I have soft reset after the flash. No combination of buttons, etc. works for a hard reset. By the way, I have a fuze for work and I can hard reset that. So, it is not for lack of knowing how.

the fuze hard resets differently than the sprint touch pro/verizon touch pro if i remember correctly
to hard reset on sprint,
First turn the phone off by holding the power button on the top of the TP for a few seconds.
Next hold down the Vol Down button, the center of the Dpad and the power button (on the top of the TP) for a few seconds.
Follow the on-screen prompts.

If that still doesnt work, then use clear storage.

I am pretty sure that was the procedure I used on my fuze.

I thought the clear storage would also get rid of all the extra programs that were included in the ROM Flash (not the ones built in, but that were in the software customization). I know that is what I used before to get rid of all the bloatware from AT&T on my fuze. I did not want to get rid of any programs on this ROM.

Just tried that combo and it did not work. You have no idea how many times I have tried to get this to hard reset. Not in a while since I finally figured out it just does not do it.

Try vol down/power/center D pad/ and with the stylus out, press the soft reset button--all at the same time

Reflashed with a new download of the ROM. Did clear storage after flashing. Added .Net 3.5 (One of the programs I added last time said I needed to update this). Then synced.

Still had the same error. All notes on my TP still showed boxes. No letters or numbers. This is a one way error. A note created on my TP syncs fine to the computer. But any note edited on my computer will then show up as boxes in place of letters or numbers in the note. The name stays fine - translates fine either way. Just the contents of the note is the problem.

This is for the latest 6.1 release. I might have to go back, but I think I remember looking at one note that was edited and I believe that it had this error, but I am not sure.

In conclusion, I think that this might be a possible ROM bug.

I see that .Net is 3.5, but one of my programs said it needed to upgrade.

Otherwise, I love this ROM. I think the SPB shell is superior to the Touch Flo.

I just flashed the latest 6.5 to test it and it works fine. The Notes are normal.

Just giving you an update on using the RSTG Roms - Spb MobileShell Raph vG53.MS31.16 WM6.5 5/17/09 is working great. I have only had a one small issue so far. Sometimes when I go to update like the weather it will say no connection to the internet. It pop's up the window to select the network and I just click ok.I then go and start the internet explorer and then click the weather update and works fine.

Seems to do this when I shut off the phone. Once I select the internet it does'nt do this again until I shut off the phone again. I have been gone for the last week 1/2 and was out of town and my phone worked gr8 on this new rom. Even thou this rom was built for sprint it seems to be working gr8 on my Alltel.

Seeing there is not a lot of good rom's for Alltel or I have not found them as of yet. I have heard that conflipper is good have not tried it as of yet. Seeing your rom is working good. Being an addict I will probably flash some this weekend then end up back to your rom lol!

I just noticed this... I had been assuming that the sdconfig file would be on external storage... doesn't internal storage get deleted during the flash process? Do we know if capitalization matter for the file name?

For the touch pro it should read "\storage card\sdconfig.txt" :) And capitalization shouldn't matter.

Thanks for the clarification... it is still not working on my external card, so I wonder what's going on. As soon as I have access to a windows computer, I'll try playing around with the kitchens. (but I'll probably post my cleaned up xml files on the other thread and see what's going on).

I get two BT icons when mine is connected, but it doesn't affect how it works, so I didn't see problem

I've been using this ROM for over a week now and I love it. There are 2 things.

1- Sometimes in Opera it will just quit out of the program and I have to start a new one.

2- Lately my data connection has been timing out and the screen pops up that says cannot connect #777 etc.,

Any ideas let me know. Thanks.

Ur ROM is great man. I have been using it for a couple weeks and it is the fastest and most stable is have used. I did have to jump the pagepool up quite a bit to make it run a smoothly as I like but there is plenty of memory to go around right? ha

Number 1 actually happens quite alot for me. I don't use Opera that much but when I do, it quits usually about 2 times per session.

There was a release that I used a newer version of opera, I had this problem as well. I reverted to the old version and it worked. I've been on break so I don't recall what this rom has, but I'll be getting back into my roms starting tomorrow night. I'll fix opera, update to the latest version of MS3, and update 6.5 as well...

RSTOGUY--I thought you died, thus ending my flashing addiction. Glad to hear that you're still around and willing to keep us topped off with fresh ROM. Flashed to another MS3 ROM the other day to compare--hands down, yours is the best, had to flash back the next day. I can't wait to see what kind of rabbits you pull outa this one!

Sorry to crash this thread but there seem to be some MS3 experts here! I'm running WM6.5 (20725) and Mobile Shell 3. I deally I want to use the black professional background but have blue menu highlights. I can't seem to make this happen. I've set the black theme in MS3 and everything is black. I've set a black theme in Windows today and set the Indigo theme but it gets overidden and everything is still black. If I use the HTC Blue theme in Today then everything except for my professional background is the way I want it, the background then becomes blue. Is there anyway to get this combination? Basically I'd just like to change the professional background to black while leaving everything else at a blue theme.

Need my phone for work, 6.5 is still a little too patchy. Like rhodium. Nice if you want to try stuff...I'll give 6.5 a couple more month's to get all the kinks worked out.

Ok, back from my break and here is an update. This is the rom that I've been updating over the last couple of weeks, it should be like version 32, but 18 is fine. As some of you may have read, I've let 6.5 go for now. When it loses it's buggyness, I'll revisit it. But I need a rom that I can use every day.
