Telus/Bell WILL ONLY allow they own phones on the network.... so you have to get a new phone from TELUS/BELL... the ESN is registered to the Providers and no other provider will allow it on the network.. CDMA that is...

GSM is different where as long as the phone is unlocked, can be used on the network.. might use that some providers won't allow data plans to be applied to unlocked GSM phones....
