Well, from the time I posted to now, it's already down to 89%. I have exactly the same settings that you have. I haven't been doing anything in particular on the phone.

What's strange is that this hack is working for people.

I was having one more issue and this might also be a rhodium thing since its not a finished product.

I go to all people and as usual the first "contact" I see is "Me" My contact card. I tried going to my contact card and adding under detial information there is a thumbnail that you can click on so that you can add a picture. I tried doing this and select from the options it gives you after you select the thumbnail it gives me an option to select a picture from my Album or Camera to take a new pic. The camera option works, however, since we are all having camera issues thats pretty useless as well, but when I try to select "open album" option the album will not open. Therefore I cannot even add my own contact picture to my contact card.


Is there a fix for this?

Someone said that may be an issue resolved by using album v3, which will be in the next release. I am looking into that... For the time being if you go Start->Contacts you can select your contact and edit the picture from the old windows contact editor. Definitely on the list of things to fix :)

Oooh wow I didnt realize it didnt work for any contacts. My contact card atleast shows the options for "open album" and "camera". for other contacts it wont even let you select the thumbnail to get those options.

Before I even relaized this issue I have been using google sync on my gmail account and changing my contact pictures on there then selecting an image url from myspace or something and it updates on my phone right away.

I also got that same permission error when trying to install the new album, but I also got the same error when I was trying to install the Touch pro 2 VGA keyboard that is on xda's site.

Why exactly is it doing that and what does it mean?

I remember that when I flashe the ROM, it used to announce, "Boss, you have a new text message" when I received SMS. But now, I just get a beep. Can you please tell me what should as I select for New Text Message sound under Sounds and Notifications to get that announcement back?

I had my phone almost perfect with this rom up until I went out to eat and my phone went for a dip in the hot sauce!!!

Now when I have my phone plugged into charge it shows that I have headphones plugged in. Also my virbrate doesnt work anymore so now that makes my TouchResponse worthless as well as I will be missing a lot of calls and text messages now grr....


What can i do? I do have tep but i wonder if it will go back to normal, I barely got it like 3 weeks ago.

it is kinda off topic but you can make a insurance claim :) or take it to store for a repair ( make sure to wash it , so there is no sauce in it ;) )

well idk about hot sauce, but when ever my phone goes for a dip,
i take the battery out and put both in dry white rice to sit overnight and it soaks up all the liquids!
works like a charm, idk about hot sauce haha

BTW psyki what kitchen do you use to cook this bad boy up?
or are you using your own?

I've been trolling this site for months since getting my Touch Pro and have been working up the guts to flash my rom. The reviews on your rom convinced me to take the plunge. I'm glad I did -- so far I am stunned. Great stuff. Can't wait to play with it more.

It's my own custom built kitchen but I cut my teeth primarily on lllboredlll's kitchen. Merdinh hooked up with his xip, and the SYS kind of came from a few sources.

Would you believe that it was only about 3 weeks ago I just got started in building my own ROMs? :D

thats what i figured!
haha its crazy how addicting and fun this is!
im thinking about cooking up a rom for my self and a few friends
but i want to make it a fully themed rom, a lot like yours! and xweponx's
ive always had fun messing with roms but i never comitted myself to making one
i would just mess around with one for a little while then something new would comeout and i would stop haha theres too many distractions on this site!

I just woke up and pulled the phone off the charger after it charged 5+ hrs, and it only shows "20%". I checked in regedit the BatteryIconLevels and the Data column shows "101 (0X000065)". Please advise.

Getting decent battery life. Come off full charge at 6:00 am and after a lot of usage i'm down to about 56%.

(a lot of usage being WAY more than normal for me)

Something I noticed and havent seen mentioned...sometimes the popup keyboard is a different font when displaying lower case letters. Sometimes its serif and sometime sansserif.

Psyki- Any luck finding a non-transparent bottom bar?

That and it pops up whenever TF3D starts - although that could be a bug (or by design (gasp!)) with the Rhodium port.

My keyboard has a mind of it's own. Just kind of pops up and goes down whenever it wants. It's not really that bad, just anoying when I'm trying to read something. :)

I believe that is a Rhodium thing, not necessarily by design... Someone said it might be due to some sort of resolution change when Rhodium starts. I've tried multiple SIPs and they all do it, any other Rhodium ROM should have that "problem" as well.

Yes the keyboard pops up because Rhodium manila uses a custom starter created by xboxmod which requires the keyboard once launching, so that's not a issue at boot.

The clock CABs are all in the \windows directory, but BE CAREFUL when installing them on another ROM, I built the clock CABs with fixes for the showaco AllTabBackground and AllPrograms fixes in mind, and they cannot be uninstalled. They *should* work however, and if anything you'll get the benefit of the showaco fixes I mentioned.

Proceed at your own risk.

Whoa that's weird, I guess I haven't seen that. I've been using a different SIP, the black merdin SIP tends to eat up memory for some reason.

See attached for various bottom curtains. I think no curtain looks pretty slick with a black or black-ish background.

This is a fast, very stable, simple TP2 Rhodium Manila ROM. While not a "loaded" ROM I think you'll find most of the applications a typical TP hacker uses and some of my personal touches. Thank you, I actually have both of those showaco cabs installed so It should work, however since I am running a different rom right now I don't have access to the windows folder on your rom would it be possible to post the cabs for the clocks up.

Ah I was so excited about this ROM!! But I can't use the camera... is there a way to get the camera back? It just shows a black pic :angry7:


EDIT: It seems to be working now... weird.

Built a test with Merdinh's port of Topaz 21043 and this thing really screams. At this point it's mostly cosmetic issues I am working, if everything goes smooth today then..... We will see :D

Maybe someone can help. I flashed this rom in yesterday. And it was awesome. Still is awesome. I went to bed and next thing I know my phone is talking to me. Telling me I have new text messages and voicemail etc. What is doing that? Is that a cab that can be installed? I then went into my phone to try ant locate the files in my sounds folder under windows. I could not find any alert that was the default ones with the rom. So I am not sure it was just a media file that was put in there and set to default. Whats worse is that NOW after playing with it, it is no longer using the voice alerts. :( Where do I get the voice alerts from, and is it just a cab I can install. All kinds of awesome rom man.
