[Overnight charging lockup] Any of the ROMs fix it?

I've had my TP for a week, and I've already encountered the dreaded "overnight charging lockup." A soft-reset cleared it, and I've followed this thread for tips....

http://forum.ppcgeeks.com/showthread...ight=overnight

...where I learned to uncheck the Today timeout and "Turn off device if not used for..." under "On external power". So far (two days), so good.

Question though... do any of the ROM's available fix this problem permanently? Juicy? Mighty? Something else?

Thanks in advance!

Aj

Re: [Overnight charging lockup] Any of the ROMs fix it?

are you using the charger that was in the box with the phone or a third party charger?

If I use the charger in the box it doesn't freeze, if I use my blackberry or regular mini usb it doesn't freeze, but if I use a Motorola branded charger (old phone) it freezes

I use Mighty 4.16 & have never had the problem (& I have an alarm go off every morning so it would be readily apparent if it didn't work)

Re: [Overnight charging lockup] Any of the ROMs fix it?

Thanks for the replies... Tuffgong, I'm using the HTC stock charger - that is, the one that came with the phone in the box. Only had the one lock-up, but I've only had the phone a handful of days.

In fact, I had to come here to find out what even was going on (and how to fix it). Come to find out, as most of the long-timers here know, this is a random/weird problem many have had.

The more I read, it seems like the TP has some "issues" with charging, power and battery life in general. I do love it though. I'm still in the honeymoon phase - my first smartphone. Can't believe how much it can do in such a small little box. Wish it was perfect!
