Re: Copper v.0.0.0.1 [6.5.21500 Build 21500] [16MBPP] [UC Compatible]

I did a thread search, and I looked a a couple of the 101 pages this is already at. Quick question. I'm loving this rom, it's sleek, trim, nice, yada yada yada.
But. Is the internet shareing program the one that allows for free teathering data? I'm with Bell, and don't want to get a huge bill.

Thanks all for this ROM. I am kind of new at this so just to be prepared, what do I need to do special if I am an Alltel TP user? I see you all talking about getting specific CAB's for the providers but what does that mean? If I get this ROM will I not be able to use my phone?

When searching i find it best to use the main search tab at the top of the page and use the google search option within it (it seems more accurate.) In this instance simply searched internet sharing and found the answer to your question in the first result

You'll be able to use your phone but I am, for example, with Telus, so if i wanted to be able to use the Telus music Store app I would need to install the Carrier Specific cab for it

Exactly. From what i gather from others that are on sprint for example sometimes you may need to do the over the air programing steps for your data connection to work but on Telus I have never had to do so.

The only thing that will not work is your picture messaging. You will just have to install the 2 cabs here and everything will work perfect. http://forum.ppcgeeks.com/showpost.p...05&postcount=3
I've flashed at least 20 different times with mighty roms and never had the data connection problems. Seems to happen mostly with sprint.

I got that info from this post:

1) Open Opera Mobile
2) Type opera:config into the address, this gives you access to tons of preferences

4) Check Browser First Time Launch and press Save
5) Exit Opera
6) Restart Opera

The first time you restart it will take a while, and may even close without showing you the browser, but now open a link from e-mail or other source and it should use Opera to open.

You can try this too:
you have to edit these registry keys.

HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\Microsoft\Shell\Rai\: DEFBROWSER
"0"=Opera Browser
"1"=\Windows\OperaL.exe
