Diamond Touch Pro Scare

Howdy!,

Figured I would paste this. I've been lurking adn lurking and lurking for about 2 months now, reading, learning, etc.

So today I finally try to install mightyrom, and it blows up 6% in... then 8% ( after recovery ) then 7%.. Made sure nothing was running in the background, that my monkeys were all lined up, etc. Still update erroring..

Finally, I try something I should have done in the begining: I take the USB extension off the HTC usb cord, and plug right into computer... and amazingly it runs great.

So, for those who hadnt thought of it ( I dont know if it was the actual fix, or it just decided it had scared me enough ), make sure you dont have any extensions for your USB cord if your getting strange update errors

Re: Diamond Touch Pro Scare

Some usb extension cords are for charging stations and only include minimal connections. I have one that only have 2 wires. Bad quality cables and cables too long can also cause issues too. I use nothing but extensions because my front USB ports are shot.

Fortunately you figured out your problem. It is a rare scenario and I'm sure that there are other causes of most of the incompletion errors that many receive.

Re: Diamond Touch Pro Scare

I always just flash from my SDCard. Avoid cables all together!
