Re: nueBattery w/ FastCharge, 1% and DisableFlightMode

Ok, I guess I'm a complete dumba**, I find the new power icon that shows the charging rate and such but how do I turn on fast charging? Mine is still charging at 430!

Re: nueBattery w/ FastCharge, 1% and DisableFlightMode

Great deal but make sure not to use it connected to PC USB port.. maximum mA usb port can support is 500ma.. anything more than your risking burning out the USB Port and I have seen it done.

This driver was designed to be used with USB port charging. And, I was always under the impression that a standard PC USB port can put out 1A. According to the information I have found at Wikipedia

Quote:
In Battery Charging Specification, new powering modes are added to the USB specification. A host or hub charger can supply maximum 1.5 A when communicating at low-speed or full-speed, maximum 900 mA when communicating at hi-speed, no upper current limit when no communication is taking place. A dedicated charger can supply maximum 1.5 A of current. A portable device can draw up to 1.8 A from a dedicated charger. The dedicated charger shorts the D+ and D- pins together and will not send or receive any information on those lines, allowing for the creation of very simple, high current chargers to be manufactured. The increased current (faster charging) will occur once the host/hub and devices both support the new charging specification.
I could be wrong, but this leads me to believe that the USB port can handle it.

You'll want to install nuePowerCPL (http://www.nuerom.com/BlogEngine/pag...ueBattery.aspx). It will be listed as Settings > System > Power & Backlight.

Use that control panel application to view percentages and other usefull information.

Re: nueBattery w/ FastCharge, 1% and DisableFlightMode

Just going to make a little cross reference here.

http://forum.ppcgeeks.com/showpost.p...postcount=1968

Installing this on 6.5 creates some strange issues.

Modifies htcvolumecontrol.dll
Modifies windows default theme (only tested with Titanium, not Manila)

Unless you -need- the fastcharge, I'd advise using the old version of the driver.

Edit: As posted in the other thread... basically completely broke my 6.5. Have had to hard reset to recover.

it works fine for me....I had that issue when I install this after the taskbar theme...it was fine if you install this before you install anything else....

Unfortunately, as long as no2chem uses the weird .exe installer, there's no way to automate it to install first via sashimi. I'll do some more testing with this tomorrow, I just don't want to stay up for a hard reset and reconfigure again tonight. I'll update the information in both threads when I can.
